One of the things that is key that a lot of people miss (even vegetarians) is that the healthiest food for you is whole, raw, fresh foods!. Use fresh fruits and vegetables as the base of your diet!. You can get protein from nuts, seeds, legumes, and grains, as well as vegetables!. Dark leafy greens such as spinach are loaded with iron!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I usually have bean salad, you can buy it in a can its pretty tasty and high in iron and protein!. I also eat a lot of spinach and dark leafy greens because that have a lot of iron!. Nuts and seeds have a lot of that good stuff too!. But people who become veggies usually find that they gain weight because they over compensate for iron and protein so be carful!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Learn basic nutrition and eat well!. I've been a vegetarian or vegan most of my life, and I'm very healthy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I've been a vegetarian for about a week though--obviously a shorter time than you have--and I know that you can get protein from beans and tofu! You could even drink some soy milk for even more protein!. For iron, you need!.!.!. well basically what hollywood had said!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
