So I'm interested in becoming somewhat of a vegetarian but....?!


Question: So I'm interested in becoming somewhat of a vegetarian but!.!.!.!.!?
kayy!.!.!.i have wanted to be a vegetarian for a while now (for about 4 ish years)!. Its not because its killing animals (which is terrible but thats not why!.!.!.) i just hate meat!!! i think its disgusting!.!.!.but the thing is!.!.!.!. my mother is being a penguin (censored for everyones well being :p (made up by my friend and i :p) (in this case it means B****) and she wont let me not eat meat! she just yells at me for not wanting to eat it and freaks on me when i dont take any! so she force feeds it to me, which makes me feel sick, there for wanting to throw up!. and when i do end up getting sick from it she just yells at me and says "Stop being a bloody bulimic!" (which i am NOT) and today, she yelled at me for not taking any again, and was like "when was the last time you had any protein!!?!" and when i told her yesterday when she made me eat it, she sent me to my room and then made me come out 14 minutes later (time out -!.- :p) and she made me eat it and i could barley swallow it!!!!!


so im wondering!.!.!.!.!.
is there anyway i can stop eating meat and becoming a vegetarian, without her getting mad at me!?!?!?!?

i have tried before (and she got mad) and she was all like "im not making 2 bloody meals! you can eat what the rest of us have or not eat at all!" (i have taken the second option when it comes to dinner and she got mad as me (im not surprised :p)

my daughter became a vegetarian for the same reason you want to, she can't stand meat!. my main concern was her eating healthy!. she did research online and came up with a diet she could use to replace the vitamins and minerals in the meat!. you could do the research, show it to your mom and tell her that you will make your own meals!. i said the same thing, that i didn't want to make two meals!. my daughter ate most of what i made but made her own bocca burgers and stuff like that!. that was 10 years ago!. the strange thing is that for the last couple of months, she has been craving meat and eating it!.

ok, here is another way to approach it with her!.!.!.
not only is it more healthy, but also with the economy, it would be a good way for the family to save money by not having meat with every meal!.

Eggplant parmesean is a good meal that everyone in your family can eat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Wow, that's a bit of a tough situation you're in!. I don't think your mother has any right to force you to eat anything you don't want to!. If it's making you sick, she should understand that, and let you make your own choices!. I can't really give much advice, as it sounds like this is something far more serious then her not letting you become one, but rather either forcing it to you or letting you starve!.

I don't know why she can't accommodate you and just cook one vegetarian meal!. Does every meal have to have meat in it!? Ask her if she can at least try some vegetarian meals!. It's not hard to have a dish without meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You should try sitting down and having a real conversation with her!. Tell her all the reasons that you don't want to eat meat and try and have a good conversation about it where you guys can listen to each other!. I think you should volunteer to cook an alternative to meat for yourself for meal times so she doesn't feel so burdened!. Prepared either before or while she's cooking!. I don't know how old you are but cooking something like tofu is very easy!. You could just use the same sauce she's using in a separate pan or something! I think the important part is for her to listen to why you want to be vegetarian, and being willing to put some effort in to make it happen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

meat is BAD for your health!. some people say tat the protien we need is in meats!. you can find the same protein in many other things such as beans, potatos, wheat bread, nuts, grains, stawberries, rice, tomatoes, brocoli, green peas, onions, eggplant!.!.!. do i really have to keep going!?

~ meat has been prooven to cause heart disease

~ meat is in general, very high in fat witch can lead to obesedy and type two diabetes

~ many diseases run in the U!.S!. such as mad cow disease

~meat has many added hormones in it witch are bad for your body (duh)

~ those hormones make "that time of the month" worse for girls

~ meat can cause stroke

~ meat raises blood pressure

~ meat can cause cancer (i wasnt sure about this at first, so i looked up this article: http://www!.cancerproject!.org/survival/ca!.!.!. i guess its true!)

there are just some of the reasions meat is bad for you!. of course there are other very big reasons out there, but it would have taken WAY too long to find them all and type them!. : )Www@FoodAQ@Com
