Do I still want to be pescetarian?!

Question: Do I still want to be pescetarian!?
I keep asking myself this over and over!. I initially switched to pescetarian as a step towards vegetarianism!. I never went all the way to vegetarian but am now questioning whether or not to introduce other meats back into my diet!.

I miss my husband's cooking tremendously and I think he misses cooking things that we can both enjoy!. I feel horribly for the animals, but know that our bodies were made to digest both plant and animal foods!.

Aaaaaaaargh! I keep going round and round!.!.!.good, bad, good, bad!. Looking for some advice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Listen to both your head AND your body!. I tried vegetarianism for a few months a couple of years ago, for health reasons, not ideological ones!. I found that my body suffered; my muscles were weaker, I was more tired!. In short, it didn't work for me that well!. I also found that I was relying on a lot of soy and gluten/seitan products that mimicked meat, when what I really wanted was meat!.

The bottom line is: If you feel strongly about not eating animals because you think it is cruel, or because you object to the way food animals are raised and processed, then remain vegetarian!. If you miss the taste, and you feel (as I did) that your body is missing something, have it!. Have it occasionally without feeling that you're selling out!.

I don't eat a lot of meat: I have many vegetarian meals during the course of a given week, but I do have meat/fish/poultry!. This is my compromise; this works for me!.

Being obsessive about what you eat is not healthy, either!Www@FoodAQ@Com

As a vegetarian, I think you should at least stay a pescetarian!. There are so many advantages to it - you're being kind toward animals, it is far healthier, and it's better for the environment!.

Maybe your husband could learn to cook other non-meat items, or even join you and cut back on meat!? Our bodies may be capable of digesting more than just plant food, but that doesn't mean it's healthy to eat a lot of meat!.

I can't imagine switching back to eating meat after being a veg/pescetarian for a while!. But that's just my opinion!. Obviously you have to make the final decision!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

As much as I wish it wasn't it would probably be healthiest for you if you went back on meat, in my opinion the reason why I am a vegetarian is because I can't stand the thought of eating a living thing!. If that doesn't bother you - I'm not saying it should then do whatever you think is right!. Try going back and seeing how you feel about it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

U MIGHT AS WELL!.!.!.!. PESCETARIANS ARE HYPOCRITS!.!.!. AS ARE VEGETARIANS!. VEGAN ALL THE WAYYY!!! (:Www@FoodAQ@Com

you shouldn't give in too quickly!. it takes time to get used to a new way of eating!. give yourself at least three or four months, it took be about that long to completely lose the desire for meat!. after about eight months i started to get repulsed by it!.

vegetarianism is much healthier than eating meat!. human bodies were only designed to eat a few ounces of meat a day, and that's meat that came from animals who naturally roamed the grasslands/wild!. human beings are not designed to eat animals raised for slaughter!. even organic meats are full of hormones that will hurt your health!.

it's easy to desensitize yourself to the horrors of factory farming but it's one more step in becoming a numb person who isn't very in touch with the reality of the world!. i have never met anyone who had health problems from vegetarianism who ate a healthy diet!. (you can eat too much junk food whether veg, omni, or vegan)!.

why don't you and you're husband try to learn some new recipies together!? if he's a half decent cook he should be able to make delicious vegetarian food!. try expanding your food horizons!. there are lots of vege options in indian, ethiopian, thai, and chinese cuisines!.

your morals are more important than your taste buds!. do what you think is right!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
