Why is everyone so angry?!

Question: Why is everyone so angry!?
I have been a vegetarian since 1970!. In those days you didn't find a lot of products on the market like they have today!.
I became a vegetarian because I didn't want to eat anything that has big brown eyes and I could hug!.
Buddha once said 'It is better to eat meat than to chastise another for eating it!."
Lighten up people!. There is nothing so angry as a new vegetarian!.
Why is that!? You have made what I think is a great life choice!. Putting others down for not doing the same doesn't make them want to become vegetarians!. It alienates people!. I have found over the years, that by being tolerant of others can sway them to your point of view more easily than for chastising them!.
So!.!.!.!.Why so angry!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Agreed!.

I am not perfect, and I won't sit here and lie to myself!. I have indeed argued with meat eaters about their lifestyle!. I shouldn't!. I try not to!.
I agree with you completely!. Everyone needs to embrace differences, and be more tolerant!. Life is full of diversity!. We all need to embrace it,find peace and accept people for who they are!.
I'm glad you posted this question!. Hopefully it will be the start of a happier Yahoo! Answers Section!.

I totally agree with you! Nothing gets on my nerves more than an angry vegetarian criticizing others for not believing the same!. I am vegetarian, but I believe everyone has the right to eat whatever they like without harsh words!. I'm sure they don't like people criticizing their vegetarianism! (or maybe they do - some just can't pass up the chance for an argument)Www@FoodAQ@Com

People that don't have the mental maturity and peace within, have a harder time understanding why anyone wouldn't want to do or see things exactly as them!. It's very sad, and I have noticed this as well!. So much anger coming from people recently!. Not just diet, but also with religion, politics, etc!.!.

I always say that if everyone in the world was 100% like me, I'd be pretty darn bored!. Embrace the differences, I say!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hang around in this section long enough and you might realise why! lol

Unfortunately around 50% of the 'participants' in this section are either trolls or omnivores who seem to take issue with vegetarianism rather than just leave us to it!.

I have had emails where Ive been told to 'go get raped' and an 'f***ing idiot' and I know people who have been told to 'die and your parents will be much happier'!.

It seems as though we are not the angriest ones around ;)Www@FoodAQ@Com

THANK YOU!!!! I've been saying that and getting lambasted for it for months now! It's great to hear it from a vegetarian!

I've said over and over– it has nothing to do with what you eat– it's your attitude!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is the PETA confrontational influence!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Trolls are intolerant, that's what you see going on here in YA v/v section most the time :-(Www@FoodAQ@Com

That's easy enough to say when you're not the one being killed!. ;)Www@FoodAQ@Com

You are right! I am a pretty new vegetarian, and every time I see someone eating meat I shudder a little bit inside!. But I never, ever, EVER call them out on it or preach to them, because people hate to feel guilty or wrong!. I have found that leading by example is more effective than shouting and screaming, and ever since I began my quiet approach some of my friends joined me in being vegetarian!. Soon, when I have a chance to try vegan, maybe they will follow too!

EDIT: I am guilty of yelling at meat-eaters when they moan over their "delicious, juicy" steaks if they are doing it to tempt me!. One time someone actually tried to force a piece of meat in my mouth!. I am disgusted by meat anyway, so I'll say something like "I don't support murder"!.!.!.!. and if they ask, well, i'll share my views!.!.!.!.!.
Well, most or all vegetarians have gotten mad from time to time!. And I am sorry for it!. Next time I will try and be the bigger person!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
