i know what you're saying about the wine clearing process!. your best bet is to call or write the company and ask!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Both red and white wines are made from grapes!. Vinegar is the result of the completion of the fermentation process!. There is nothing animal nor any meat derivative in it!!!

Clearing process for wines!?!?!? Maybe for mass production!. If you're a home winemaker, you'd just decant the wine from the crock or container, leaving the sediment behind!.

Maybe you should just make your own sauce, and eliminate the worry!!! So elimentary!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree with Mike B and Love!.!.

The sugar used to make the wine, thus turning it into vinegar might be made with a sugar that uses bone-char to whiten it!. If you can find a phone number on the bottle, I would ask costumer service if they know about the ingredients used in the process!.

It's interesting, you wouldn't think you'd have to be careful with vinegar and things that are normally seen as vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cane Sugar based vinegar, or if the wine was made with cane sugar, is questionable, as some southern based cane sugar is purified with bone-char!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are no animal products in white or red wine, which come from grapes!. Therefore, there are no animal products in vinegar!. You are okay to eat it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Wine vinegar is made from grapes!. No problem for you to use it!.

Cheers!.
