I really want to go back to being a vegetarian but...?!
I don't know how to keep that lifestyle up! I absolutely LOVE meat!. Steak is one of my favorite foods!. I can live without it, but I get really bored!. I'm also super picky!. I've gone vegetarian before, and I like some vegetarian products, but some of it is just not for me!. I want to do it for the animals, to be healthier, and because some of the things I read about on PETA and such completely DISGUST me!.!.!. but I just don't know how to!. My family is strongly Italian and meat is like God in my house!. My dad is willing to help me do it, but he gets annoyed becuase he has to cook different dishes for me and such!. I just don't know what I should do to make it work better and easier!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

True, the things they put animals through is horrible, but if you love meat, then the whole 'vegetarian' concept would be almost impossible, and with a lot of effort to keep up with!.
The point is, you buy meat from the people that support fair treatment of animals!. Look on the meat labels, the egg cartons, all that, and they have information as to where the meat came from!.
I know that some people use the term 'free grazing' or something like that, which means that they don't poorly treat animals, and kill them humainly!. Look it up, they'll have information!.
By supporting those people, you don't have to feel guilty about the animal!.
Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I was an off-again-on-again vegan as a teenager because I was such a hardcore meat lover!. It is hard going from meat to veggies, fake meat, and tofu -- and after years of being vegan I still think that fake meat and tofu are absolutely disgusting!.
Then I started cooking myself, experimenting with different vegan recipes I found online, and that's when I discovered how delicious veggies and fruit can be and it became easy to sit down with a vegan meal while the rest of my family ate meat!.
You need to start searching for recipes (you'd be surprised at the amount of vegetarian food blogs out there) and either cooking them yourself, or asking your father to (most vegan recipes are fast and easy)!. Once your taste buds are satisfied and your stomach is full of food that you actually like, saying no to meat won't be as difficult!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You are going to get bored with what you are eating if you eat the same thing over and over, or choose foods that are bland or unappealing!. When I first went vegetarian I knew how to cook about two dishes and mainly ate those fake meat products!. After awhile I found new recipes that I enjoyed and I no longer missed what I used to eat!. I used to be a huge meat eater(very rarely ate any vegetables or fruits), but after I found new favorite foods, I never thought about eating meat again!.
You're already ahead of the game if you have the support of you dad!. He is willing to help you, but don't take advantage of that!. There are some easy vegetarian cook books and recipes online that you can make for yourself!. Don't expect your dad to cook for you every night, take initiative and make some meals yourself!. Plan out your menu in advanced and then give the shopping list to mom/dad to get you the ingredients you need!. You could also find out what you dad is cooking and modify it so that you are eating a vegetarian version!. For example, tacos can be made vegetarian with beans, rice, lentils, etc!. If everyone else is having burgers, you could eat a grilled portobello mushroom, and the list goes on and on!.
The way I build up my recipes was to collect some from online sources, get books from the library and copy down the ones I liked, and modified meat dishes!. The more recipes and food you have to eat, the less likely you are to be tempted by your old favorites!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just because I'm really experienced, I want to tell you something that a lot of people already know!. A lot of stuff on PETA is made up!. It would still be a hell of a lot healthier to be vegetarian, (I'M vegetarian), but if you can't get the protein into a regular veggie diet, then you should stick with meat!. If you still really want to go veggie, try to get some good tofu recipes from cook!.com or is it cooks!.com!? also, eat peanut products and anything with a good amount of protein!. It was hard for me for the first 2 weeks, but now I've been vegetarian for 6 years (6 YEARS!!!) without breaking the diet!. I would throw up if I had to eat another piece of meat!. Eventually, you might get to that point!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
