Vegans and Vegetarians are Contradictive ?!

Question: Vegans and Vegetarians are Contradictive !?
I can understand not wanting to eat something that can scream and look at you, but are not fruits and vegetables considered a living creature!?
They both reproduce, not exactly alike, but the exact concept is there!.
Are not pesky insects considered a living animal!?
Yet, while you are preaching away about saving cows, chickens and pigs, you swat a fly!.
Why do you not give equal treatment to every living creature, only ones that can scream, fight back or look cute!?

Great question!.

Many Vegans and veg's argue that plants cannot feel pain, therefore killing a plant is a lesser crime as compared to killing an animal!. Today science tells us that even plants can feel pain!. But the cry of the plant cannot be heard by the human being!. This is due to the inability of the human ear to hear sounds that are not in the audible range i!.e!. 20 Hertz to 20,000 Hertz!. Latest researches show that the plants can even feel happy and sad!. It can also cry!. You can confirm it through an expert (Botanist)!. And the one who says plants dont suffer or dont feel pain, they dont scream must ask an expert botanist who have studied plants and trees about the matter of pain/sufferings in plants and trees!.

Your 1 friend is deaf and dumb and other friend is normal, both are murdered, will you say the judge to give a lesser punishment to the friend who was deaf and dumb because he cant scream or talk and give more punishment to the person who killed a normal person who can scream or talk!?!?!?

just google plants feel pain and read the studies that have been conducted!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am a vegetarian and it is my choice!. When you said fruits and vegetables are "living creatures" that made me laugh!. I'm not saying you're ignorant, but it obviously seems like you're not a vegetarian/vegan and you don't know what you're talking about because you're not in the situation!.

And, I hate it when people say vegetarians (especially vegans) preach about saving animals and are all for animal rights!. Personally, idgaf if you're a vegetarian or if you love meat so much that you feel the urge to go shoot the animal!.!.that's your damn choice!.!.live your life!. Would I ever shoot an animal!? Never, but that doesn't mean I'm going to petition a hobby, if you'd like to call it that, of theirs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Actually a lot of vegans do not catch flies or step on the spiders in their house!. You're making an assumption!.!.!. And as for me, I actually felt bad about eating vegetables because they are living things and I wondered if they could feel!. I decided obviously I have to eat them, and it's way better to eat something like a vegetable than an animal as complex and intelligent as a pig or other animal!.

People may think I'm dumb to think about plants feeling, but I can't help it!. I don't want to hurt anythingWww@FoodAQ@Com

The link you gave is bs!.
I don't swat fly's!.
I don't preach stuff!.!.!.that often lol! only when ppl get me mad!
Fish can't scream and don't look cute!. I still fight for them!. I will fight for animal and human rights till I die!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They dont have pain receptors therefore they dont feel pain!. Dont try to make excuses that eating meat is ok animals breath, sleep, eat, cry, and feel lots of pain while being killed for our country's food supply!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

youre kinda slow arent ya sweet meat!?
a plant is a creature!? Do the little bus windows taste the best darlin!?
We catch insects and place them outside
We do the same to little yuppy girls with sausage breathWww@FoodAQ@Com

Don't assume all veg*ns would swat a fly!. Many wouldn't, myself included!. As for plants, they cannot feel or think or scream or love or live the same way animals do!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can only do so much!. When vegetarians are not eating meat helps a lot of living creatures!. But they still need to eat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the person who wrote that article made me "lol"Www@FoodAQ@Com

The article you provide in you link is hardly a credible source of information!. Plants might have a stress-avoidance response, but it is quite a stretch to refer to this as “pain!.” It is even more erroneous to equate this response with the pain suffered by animals and human beings!. Plants do not have nerve endings, hormones, a brain and other structures that would allow them to experience pain!. They are also rooted to one spot and cannot flee, thus there would be no point in them feeling pain!. Pain is an evolutionary trait that tells something to flee in order to avoid injury or death!.

Fruits and vegetables are living, but they cannot feel pain!. Does not bacteria technically reproduce, therefore does that mean that it feels pain!. Reproduction has nothing to do with being able to scream or feel pain!. Most people can tell the difference between killing a plant and killing an animal!. Third grade biology class taught us that plants are not sentient being, and are unable to feel pain!. Even if someone was a plant activist, they should support a vegetarian diet!. Vegetarians consume less plants than those who eat meat!. By eating the plants directly(rather than feeding it to live stock), vegetarians eat less plant material!.

I do everything in my power to not kill anything(even a fly)!. I once spent 20 minutes trying to catch a fly in order to let it outside(sugar on a plate and a cup worked well)!. Vegetarians cannot live in a bubble, and while the occasional fly swat will happen, we do our best to lessen the impact we have on the cruelty inflicted to animals!.

The old plant argument has been used over and over to try and make vegetarianism seem futile(and it fails every time), yet numerous people come on here posting the question as if they are the first person to come up with the idea!.

I do not preach away about saving cows, chickens, etc!. I simply want to live the way I choose, and not be berated by people that cannot keep to their own business, and spend their time worrying about what others are doing!.

EDIT:
Forcing something to be trapped into one spot is not the same as a plant being rooted in one spot!. Pain is an evolutionary trait that tells something to run, and avoid, a plant cannot run(and by nature does not have the ability to run)!. With no ability to run, there is no need to feel pain!. Why would nature make plants feel pain when they cannot do anything about it!? What would be the purpose of an Oak tree feeling pain during a hurricane when it has no ability to flee from the cause!? Since plants have are not sentient, therefore they have no need to run from anything(b/c they cannot feel anything), there is no evolutionary reason for a plant to feel pain!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
