The reason why vegetarians are not vegans? (personal question) ?!
Ok well I am a vegetarian!. i don't eat meat because I do not wanna eat anything that was living!. Why do vegans not eat any animal products at all!? butter, eggs, milk, and etc do not harm animals so what is there reasoning!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
I've been vegetarian for exactly a year!!! Well I'm also a peta2 member and they explain what harm is done to animals that we eat eggs from and the milk we drink!. PETA explains that we shouldn't have any part of an animal including milk and eggs because they were treated like crap!. Most farm factories force the heifer or hen hormones, resulting in a bigger body than the legs can handle!. So, most of the slaughter house people are cruel and shove a whole bunch of animals into a tight area and force them to produce what they need (unnaturally)!.
My personal reason is because I'm allergic to eggs, nuts, and soybeans!. So I have no other source of protein than fish, which really makes me a pescretarian, but I usually force myself to eat soy!. I admit that I have an unhealthy diet because most nights I don't eat, because I want to stay off the fish and then my parents threaten me that if I don't eat right then I have to start eating meat again!.
check out: www!.peta2!.com they have videos that cover alot of this type of stuffWww@FoodAQ@Com

The factory farm system which produces dairy and eggs is harmful to the animals, by keeping them confined in dirty unpleasant places, by feeding them food which is not what their bodies evolved to eat, and in many cases by mutilating them!. For example, chickens have part of their beaks removed when they are kept in close quarters so that they won't peck each other to death!. Chickens under stress do this!.
However, chickens who live in a nice yard, roaming free and finding delicious bugs in the sunshine can be a wonderful addition to a family!. The eggs that they produce are very healthy food for humans(in moderation, of course), and harm no one!. In fact, many breeds of chickens are endangered, because people don't have as many backyard poultry birds as they did only a few generations ago, and so by keeping heirloom breeds of chickens, ethical farmers with small farms are preserving genetic diversity for the future, and by buying these eggs, you can support that!.
If you live in an area that has a farmer's market, ask around, and see if you can visit local farms!. You can tell right away if they are ethical, by looking at the birds, seeing where they live and the condition of their feathers!. Henpecked is a real thing!.
Milk is another story!. It is basically sexual slavery for cows!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

From what I've read, vegans typically approach their total avoidance of animal foods from an ethical and a health-based standpoint!. Although eggs and dairy products are not obtained via slaughter, animals that are bred in and maintained by large factory farms have a tendency to be treated in ways that many consider to be inhumane!. However, even if an animal comes from a small, family farm where it is likely to receive humane treatment, all animal foods contain varying degrees of fat, cholesterol, and other components that can lead to various long-term diseases!. Plant-based foods, on the other hand, will not lead to such illnesses and can even combat them in many instances!. There is plenty of information available on this topic, but I suggest that you choose your sources wisely, as interest groups and other biased parties have a tendency to misrepresent the data!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The dairy and egg industries ABSOLUTELY harm animals, and you're only kidding yourself if you think otherwise!. Dairy cows are kept in cramped, small cages where they are forcibly inseminated!. After giving birth, they are pumped with hormones!. A dairy cow gives ten times the milk she would naturally!. This process causes the udders to swell- they often drag on the ground, creating painful, pus-filled sores!. The female offspring of dairy cows go through the same vicious cycle, but guess what more times that not happens to the male offspring!? That's right! They're sent of to become veal, something I bet you as a vegetarian vehemently oppose!.
Humans are the only animals that drink milk from other animals!. I bet you wouldn't drink a stranger's breaskmilk, so why on earth are you comfortable taking it from the teat of a random animal!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm a vegetarian, and I have no qualms about the use of animals for clothing or anything else!. I also have no problems with Chicken Noodle Soup to calm a fever or Flu!. I'm not so driven as not to partake that way to detriment of my overall health!. This is not a cause I would die for!.!.!.there is so much more to do out there!.
Vegetarianism has been good to me, and for me!. Some vegetarians are Vegans, and those are personal choices for them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

um!.!. well i hate to say that youre wrong!.!. but animals are harmed when they produce by products!. the animals that produce by products suffer very much
ive done lots of research and found out how poorly the animals that produce milk and eggs are treated!.
like milk cows!.!. they have to be pregnant to produce milk, so they are artificially inseminated, and then when they have calfs, theyre sent to the slaughter houses and turned into veil!. then in a few years when the cow isnt producing milk as efficiently, it is sent to a slaughter house as well!. and since the cows are forced to produce milk constantly, many of their udders become infected, and puss makes its way into the milk!.
and i just dont want to consume stuff like that!.!.
the treatment of chickens is even worse!.
i dont want to sound like im pushing my views on anyone, im just letting you know why im vegan!.
another reason, is because people are stealing these by products from the animals!. its not like the calf is saying!.!. here take my milk, people are taking it from him!.!. and i dont think thats right!.
hope i answered your questionWww@FoodAQ@Com

Sometimes vegetarians/vegans are just as bad, if not WORSE when it comes to other people's eating habits!.
Some vegans get really pis*ed off with vegetarians because they eat butter, eggs, milk etc!.
Does it honestly matter!? This is a PERSONAL choice after all!.
Maybe if we all left each other alone we wouldn't incite such insults!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

producing those products definitely is not done in an ethical way (99% of the time)!. you are wrongly informed or just ignorant!. some people are vegans for health reasons!. you should research the truth about dairy products and the vibrant health that's attainable from a vegan diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
a cow isnt kept pregnant to produce MILK!. I dont use dairy but !.!.I know cows, Ive owned cows!. I know lactation!.!.the more ya milk the more they make!.!. Bee's arent harmed when honey is taken fron the honey drawer !.!.there are no bees on that level of the hive!. Not all meat and animals products are from factory farms !.!.thats ignorant!.If you have issues with where your food comes from!.!. find out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Because the by-products come from the same industry that supports factory farming!. They would be supporting the industry that they're attempting to protest, and that just wouldn't make any sense!. Visit a dairy farm and you'll get what I mean!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You need to do some research!. It is very ignorant to believe that producing butter, eggs, milk, etc!. does not harm animals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It can be seen as exploitation!. Plus dairy farming means the cows have to be perpetually pregnant to keep producing milk, and the young are taken from the mothers too early!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
