Are there any health benefits to being a vegetarian?!

Question: Are there any health benefits to being a vegetarian!?
Answers:
There's a benefit to eating healthy, but that doesn't mean you have to give up meat!.

The problems that people have are because their diets don't match their lifestyles!. For instance - when they live traditionally, the Inuit (Eskimos from Alaska) need about 8,000 calories a day just to survive because of the extreme cold and physical demand!. In contrast, a couch potato with an office job barely burns 2,000 calories in a day (and we often consume that many calories just from fat)!.

If a person is consuming calories that they don't need, they get fat and can develop health problems!. Vegetables by themselves will give you a diet that has fewer calories, and especially fewer calories from fat!. The problem that some (perhaps "many") vegetarians have is that they aren't getting all the protein and other nutrients that are abundant in meat!.

The solution isn't some wacky diet - atkins, south beach, vegetarian, or whatever!. The solution is to get up off your butt and burn whatever calories you take in, and also to make sure that you get all the nutrients you need - with or without meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are health benefits from eating healthy!. Some vegetarians eat healthy and some do not just as some meat eaters eat healthy and some do not!. About one baby dies every year from being put on a strict vegan diet from parents that do not nurse!.

In the US, people tend to eat way too much meat!. 3oz of meat is about the most you should eat on any day, which is about the size of a small deck of cards uncooked!. I eat about half a pound of meat a week!.

yes!. If you eat right (because all diets can be bad if you don't eat the right things) you have a lower chance of having high cholesterol, non-insulin-dependent diabetes, some cancers, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure gallstones, kidney stones, This does not mean that all vegetarians are going to fall into these categories!. Make sure you check your facts and find out how much protein you really need!. good luck and check your sourcesWww@FoodAQ@Com

Any diet can be healthy-any diet can be unhealthy!. It just depends on the choices you make!. Most plant foods are naturally low in fat and calories, but there are always fats and oils, processed carbohydrates and foods high in sugar to be a person's downfall, no matter whether you eat meat or not!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ignore John c's response as it is incredibly false!.

You know how almost every person in their 50s and up are worried about cholesterol and need to take pills etc!. for it!? You won't have to!.

Plus, it greatly lowers the chances of getting many different cancers!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
