Answers:
1st of all, read "in defense of food"

also, i found it was easier to slowly work my way into becomming a vegetarian, not just stopping eating meat all together in a day, cuz it really was hard to get used to!.

offer to cook once or twice a week, and make vegetarian dishes, and suggest easy vegetarain dishes to your mom!. if you get frozen food like taquitos or hamburgers, see if she'll get the veggie kind next time, just to try it!. portabella (mushroom) is a good subsitute, but i personally stay away from tofu unless at a restruant!. soy products taste good too, plus it has protein and nutrients you need!. however, it does cost more usually!. and eating animal byproducts isnt cruel, cows need to be milked and chickens lay eggs anway, just be sure to get organic, theyre the most humanly treated!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Animal products are in no way essential to a healthy diet!. According to the American Dietetic Association a well-planned vegetarian/vegan diet is healthy for any stage of life, and can help prevent some diseases!.

become a vegetarian if you want to!.
i've been in the same situation you have, and my mom refused to make two different meals!.
however, just encourage her to make meals without meat in them, believe it or not there are a lot!. and the nights where she makes a meal with meat, make something for yourself!.
make sure to eat a lot off eggs, peanut butter, and other things with protein!.

good luck, and i realy support what you're doing! (:Www@FoodAQ@Com

You explain that you are getting a job!. Then you buy and cook your own meals with your money and clean up the mess after you have eaten!. Then maybe your family will support you!. Until then you eat what is put before you by the people that are providing for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You are definitely old enough to get a job, pay for your food, that way she has nothing to grip about if you pay for and cook your own food!
Good luck, you can also mention how healthy it is!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
