The word Kosher indicates that the food follows certain dietary laws found in the Jewish religion!. Some Kosher foods might be vegetarian or vegan - but not always!.
There are different types of Kosher labels!. You might be confused by the label: "parve" or "pareve" which means "neutral" and is appropriate for for either meat or dairy meals in accordance to Kosher laws - but it still may contain fish!.
Don't be sad - there are vegan gummy treats available - check your local health food store!. Here is an article about one brand: http://www!.vegfamily!.com/product-reviews!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Kosher foods are those that conform to the regulations of Jewish religion!. These rules form the main aspect of kashrut!.
Reasons for food being non-kosher include the presence of ingredients derived from non-kosher animals or from kosher animals that were not properly slaughtered, a mixture of meat and milk, wine or grape juice (or their derivatives) produced by gentiles, the use of produce from Israel that has not been tithed, or even the use of cooking utencils and machinery which had previously been used for non-kosher food!. Kosher is eaten mainly by Orthodox Jews but other Jews are not so specific!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
