What can I do with 1.5 pounds of Quinoa? Any recipes or things that go good with Quinoa?!
I have 1!.5 pounds of Quinoa and I never ate it before!. It says to boil it for 20 minutes and I can figure out the rest online, but I don't know what goes good with it or any meals that use quiona!. Have any suggestions for how to make use of my 1!.5 bag of quinoa!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Please do not throw that Quinoa out!. That's some very healthy and good tasting food!. Here is a quick & easy recipe:
Quinoa Medley
1 cup of dried quinoa
2 cups of water
1/2 cube of veggie boullion
1 tsp!. dried oregano flakes
1 tsp!. minced onion flakes
1/2 tsp!. garlic granulated
1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
1 Tblsp!. diced fresh cilantro(optional)
In a small sauce pan, boil water and add dried quinoa, veggie boullion, oregano, onion flakes, garlic and mushrooms!. Lower heat after 5 minutes!. Cover and simmer until quinoa has completely absorbed water!. Turn heat off and mix in cilantro!.
Other suggestions to mix in:
1 tblsp!. of Earth Balance butter
1 tblsp!. of Nutritional yeast
This is a really great meal in itself, but I suggest some grilled portabella mushrooms or just some great steamed broccoli!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would suggest making something in a smaller portion vs!. using the whole 1!.5 pounds!. No need to be wasteful in the times that we live in!.
Give this a try:
Minted Quinoa

1 tablespoon plum vinegar (or to taste)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup lightly roasted pine nuts
1!.3 cup scallions
1/4 cup fresh mint
1 cup cauliflower florets that have been blanched 2 minutes
1/4 cup diced carrots, blanched 1 minute
Cook quinoa in water according to directions on package!. Toss with all the above ingredients and serve!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
