try Follow Your Heart, Vegan Gourmet in Mozzarella style!. i wouldn't say it tastes great eaten alone, but used in cooking it's delicious!!! a word of advice i wish someone had given me!.!.!.!.the smaller and smaller you shred it the better it melts but if you leave it in large chunks it only melts somewhat!. yum yum!
they'll have it in health food stores not in the regular ones!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The best vegan cheeses that I have tried first hand are made by a company called tofutti!. The most popular vegan cheeses are made by a company called Follow Your Heart, their cheese line is called Vegan Gourmet!. To me, the FYH isn't very cheese like!. It is good, but not cheesey!. The supposed best, I haven't tried it personally, is made by the Chicago Soy Dairy, the same people who make Temptation Vegan Ice Creem!. It is called Tease!. It is relatively new, so I don't know about it's availability!. If you happen to live in the UK or Europe look for Scheese!. Oh, and VeganRella is really good vegan mozzerella that I have personally tried!.
also, the best way to melt it is to kind of steam it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, you say you want to reduce your intake!. Maybe you could reduce it in other ways!. Like say, cutting down on things you don't like as much!. For instance, if you don't especially love yogurt, eat less yogurt, and so on, instead of cutting down on the dairy foods you really like!.
If you're a vegetarian because you're against animal cruelty, fair enough, but don't worry about using milk!. I've been to a dairy farm and seen cows being milked by those machines, and it's not done cruelly at all!. In fact, the person who worked there even told me that the cows really liked being milked, haha!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There is a company called Amy's that makes all kinds of frozen vegan foods including pizza!. At the health food store where I like they have vegan alternatives for almost any cheese or dairy you could want!. Some do not melt well and you have to check the ingredients for casien (sorry about spelling!.) a milk product!. They had a pre sliced mozzarella that did I good job!. Mashed and seasoned tofu makes a great ricotta substitute amazingly close to the real deal!.
I like no cheese (old style) pizza better!. Using a garlic olive oil sauce , no tomato sauce!. Then top as you like!. Or a vegan pesto!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Toffuti cheese is good!.
And theres vegan cheeses made out of toffu in the cheese section of the supermarket!.
Oh btw!.
Dairy cows live in horrid conditions where theyre impregnated over and over again for years, everytime they give birth their babys are taken away from them; if its male its tied down in the veal industry or if its female it joins the horrible cycle of the dairy farm industry!. Eventually the cow cant take it anymore and can no longer give birth do theyre sent for slaughter!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am not sure of the brand name, but there are soy alternatives in the veggie aisle in Publix Add a bit of garlic, red pepper ( if you like spicy) and a dash of sea salt to it!. If you put it on a raw pizza cook it with a bit of foil over the top for the first 10 min and then let it get brown!. It will not melt like normal cheese, that is why the foil is key!.!.
