What to make with soft (NOT SILKEN) tofu?!
I'm a fairly new vegetarian, and I bought some soft tofu!. I need to consume it by tommorrow according to the expiration date!. It is not silken tofu; this soft tofu I have is packed in a container of water and needs to be kept refridgerated per directions!. I'm just trying to get adequate protein!. Anyone care to share how you personally prepare soft tofu!? Thanks for any ideas!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Non silken soft tofu makes great scambles like scrambled eggs!. Toss in whatever veggies you might like or some chili, maybe some cheese, and wrap in a tortilla for a yummy breakfast burrito!.
If you throw it in the food processor you can also use it in many of the desert recipes that call for silken like tofu pumpkin pie or banana bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

throw it in a blender and add your favorite fruit and maybe a little flax seed oil if you are an extremely health conscience person!. Add a little sugar or corn syrup(some people in the vegetarian community do not use regular white sugar because around 25% of it was filtered with bone char to help whiten it, don't understand why they make it white, but whatever)!.
When made like this, it will be a little gritty since its not silken, adding soymilk helps to that, or milk if you drink milk, will help get rid of that as does yogurt, especially the flavor of the smoothie!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
