cheese/tomato/onion toastie

itallian slice, basically chunky slice of bread with cheese and tomato melted on

If you can, opt for wholemeal/wholewheat/wholegrain bread for toasties, baguettes and sandwiches etc!.

You shouldn't omit cheese altogether as with all foods moderation is key and the right cheeses provide protein and calcium etc!. The general guide is the crumblier cheeses (cheshire, wensleydale etc) contain less fat than ones which go stringy when melted eg cheddar or the softer cheeses like brie and camenbert!.
