Tough question because is depends on so much!. Where do you live--different plants do better in different places in the country!. My favorite may not grow well where you live!. also, what do you love in a cherry tomato!? Size!? Taste similar to regular tomatoes!? How prolific they are!? Sweetness!? Acid profile!? How quickly they produce!? Determinate or indeterminate!? Each of us might have very different answers!.

Given that they are hundreds of varieties between hybrids and heirlooms, good luck! My husband prefers Sunsugar, my friend prefers Sweet Million, and I like Isis Candy!.

When I used to have a large garden, I'd grow two new varieties of tomatoes each year, and two that I had already grown and loved!. Each year, it would change!. I only had two regular tomatoes that often found their way into my rotation; so each year I would try 2-3 new types!. It was so much fun to learn about them and try new flavors and textures!. There are many sites to learn about heirlooms and why they are important and the different varieties available to you!.

Whatever you pick this year, I hope you enjoy growing it and like them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've grown tom plants in the ground and in pots!. The best is when there is no fertilizer but only natural ones like manure or compost!. Any tomato off the vine melts in your mouth!.

also, they can't be grown butter sweet in the south!. My best tomato harvest was in Chicago, not Fort Worth!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
