My relative used to tear the "Beef" off the label of beef and tomato soup and say it was tomato!.!.!.!.!.I never fell for it though!. My friend once put a chunk of dogfood in my breakfast cereal!.!.!.!.so I could never eat that cereal after that!.
On going back to being a vegetarian!.!.!.!.you never stopped, it wasn't your fault!. Just do the best you can, avoid meat whenever you can, and don't accept food from your relatives again!. Tell them that was a sick thing to do!. Perhaps play a trick on your uncle - tell him you've put snot in his food or urine in his drink and see how he feels!. Don't really do it, but let him think you have for a few minutes, he might get the message!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When I first became a vegetarian my Mom made ground beef mixed with rice and told me to pick the meat out!.

One thanksgiving I had stuffing and other non-turkey items at the home of a friend of my Dad's!. They new I was a vegetarian but didn't tell me until afterwards that there were gizzards in the stuffing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegetarianism is a choice you make, and your family have to learn to accept it!. You're not suddenly a non-vegetarian now just because you were tricked into eating meat, just stick to your guns and continue making your choice!.
What your uncle did was lower than low btw!. Take revenge by putting some nasty in his food!. See how he likes being tricked into eating something he'd consider disgusting!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Once someone did that to me, I confronted her about it and made her tell me why she did it and made it clear that if it ever happened again we couldn't be friends anymore!. You never chose to eat the meat, someone put it into your food without you knowing, just continue being a vegetarian like you chose to!. Don't let what someone did to you make up your mind for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am the only vegetarian in my family so when I live at home we used to sometimes make separate meals for me and them!. one time a Quorn lasagna and a beef lasagna got mixed up and I ended up with the beef one, I'd been vegi for a few years by then and had forgotten what meat really tasted like, my Dad realised before I did and he thought it was hilarious, I however did not and was very upset!.

My experience and yours does not stop you being a vegetarian, I know how upsetting it is but you just have to move on!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not a veg but I think such stunts are pretty infantile!. I remember a Sienfeld episode where George puts lobster in an omlete to get back at a woman who was strict Kosher!.

As for your uncle there are many things you can put in his food that will make him unhappy!. Think milkshakes and Ex-lax!.!.!.

There is some Greek play where someone is fed their own children!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

on christmas day my aunt gave me soup which she said was just egg whites and broth and pasta!. i had already told her i didnt want any chicken or sausages!. but the soup had chicken! and it wasnt veggie broth either!. i was kinda mad about it!. but i didnt make a scene!. this was my aunt's first christmas since my uncle died so i didnt want to make her upset!. i just didnt eat anymore of it and ate the raw fruits and veggies on the platters!. actually i took the whole platter and told everyone to go eat their dirty fleshWww@FoodAQ@Com

Thank God it has never happened to me!.

What a shitty thng to do!
I hope you made a fuss about it!.
That story made me pissed off, laughing because you were eatinga dead animal be hid in your food, no offence but sounds like areal dirtbag!.

You are still a veggie, so don't go eating meat because
someone tricked you into it once!.

I am vegan and if somebody was to put leather shoes on
my feet and washed my hair with regualr animal tested shampoo while I was asleep, then I would still be a vegan!.

Vegetarian & veganism are both about what you have chosen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You're still a vegetarian!.
That was very inconsiderate of your uncle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The only thing freakier than vegetarians are the people obsessed with devegitarianizing them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm not vegetarian myself so no!. But i think its cruel for people to do that to vegetarians!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Let him know that it wasn't funny!.

Sorry that happened!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Someone tried to trick my dad into eating meat once!. I don't understand why people have issues with vegatarians!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Nobody has (successfully) purposely tricked me into meat, but my Mother has tried!.

My parents (and brother) thought I was ridiculous as well!. They don't support me very much!.

My Mother buys this fake meat, that isn't really good!. However, she buys it because she thinks I'm not getting enough protein, and the fake meat has lots of protein (soy)!.

So one time, she was frying these bread crumbed chicken patty things, and I asked her which ones were for me!. She pointed me to one pan!. I took the patty, but I already was suspicious, because it smelled so real!. I cut it open, and found that it was real chicken!.

If I was about to eat it, I'm pretty sure she would've stopped me before I ate it, because she probably knows that I'd induce vomit!.!. She wouldn't want me to do that!.

She tries to trick me every once in a while, but it doesn't really work!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, but I know people who have done that to others!.
They think they are proving a point, "See, you ate it and enjoyed it, so why don't you just enjoy it and stop torturing yourself by depriving yourself of meat!?"

It's really a moronic thing to do and proves nothing at all!.
It's as stupid as saying:

"Hey, I know you don't like onions, but I blended onions into your spaghetti sauce and you didn't notice and enjoyed it, so that means that you really DO like onions and you are just being a weirdo by not eating onions!." Moronic!.

The mother of a friend of ours gave my daughter (was 3 at the time) some canned soup because she was hungry!. She knew that she is vegan!. Gave her pork meatball soup!. She too, one spoonful and had a weird look on her face!. She wouldn't swallow it!. It tasted really bad apparently, but at the time I didn't know what the expression on her face was (she'd actually had never tried anything that she didn't like before)!. I said, "What's wrong!?" She wouldn't answer (or couldn't, she had a spoon full in her mouth)!. Finally she swallowed it like a pill and said, "I'm full!." She refused to eat any more!. That got me thinking and I went a looked at the can that was in the garbage -- I was furious that she gave my daughter some damned f*ck'n food sh*t pork meatball soup suitable for a f*ck'n DOG!. I was so furious I had to leave or I was going to smash her ugly face in!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
