I run into this when my mother is visiting (she eats meat, we don't) I just cook her meat seperately, then add it to the already seasoned (and tasted) sauce, stew, etc!. and let it cook a bit longer after removing the other portions!. My mother really likes when I use portabello mushrooms as a meat substitute in dishes such as tacos, stroganoff, etc-she says she would not likely be even able to tell there is no meat if she didn't know, since it has a similar taste and texture!. I also have a small rice cooker that is dedicated just for her, and we can often fix her meat based meals in it without it interfering with our veggie meals!. Works for us!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't listen to these people, they're dumb!. I'm the only vegetarian in my family and I do some of the cooking!.
If you're going to cook than what you should do is cook whatever you want to eat and than have meat on the side that they can add in!. Like if you make a stir fry, make the stir fry like you would eat it, than make the meat in a seperate skillet, and set it beside the stir fry and the people who want meat can put it in!. It's really not a big deal, and who knows!? Maybe they'll realize that food without meat is just as good!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you're a veggie for ethical reasons it isn't fair that you should cook meat!. You might as well eat it!.
A vegetarian isn't just someone who doesn't EAT meat!.
It's someone who doesn't want to get involved with the barbaric way animals are reared/killed treated by the meat industry!.
Therefore,if you buy/handle/cook meat don't call yourself a vegetarian only because you don't eat it!.
I'm not judging YOU,I'm stating a fact!.
I know it must be difficult for you and you have all my support, but decide where your loyalties lie!.
Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm a vegetarian and I don't cook meat for others, but that is my personal choice!. There is no rule that vegetarians can't cook meat for others as long as they don't taste or eat any of it; BUT you can't call yourself a vegan if you cook meat!. If they don't like taste of what you made, let them cook for them selfs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
