Are vegan mothers by definition not "animal"?!

Question: Are vegan mothers by definition not "animal"!?
The definition of vegan is: does not eat/drink animal or animal products!.
But a vegan child can drink his/her mothers milk!.
So by definition a vegan mother is not a "animal"!?

I really don't mean to offend anyone by this, I was just wondering!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Your definition of a vegan is correct, but not in the sense that you are saying it!.

Vegans are against all animal explotiation for human gain!. A baby drinking its mother milk is not exploitation of any sort!. Human milk is made for human babies, cows milk is not- it is made for calves!.

To Obamas shoes- and how many non-vegan babies die from infant malnutrition every year!? People who feed their infants only soy milka dn juice are not vegans- they are either ridiculously stupid or simply malicious!. Nothing to do with being vegan!. A vegan with a balanced diet provides all the nutrients an infant needs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some say breast milk is vegan, I disagree!. Definition of vegan vary, but vegans can't drink/eat animal products, if you do you are not a true vegan!.
(Saying something else is twisting the definition!. Some say drinking breast milk is vegan because it is natural, but so is eating meat!.
Some say it is vegan because it does not case suffering or captivity, but then eating roadkill would be vegan as well (as they are dead anyway))

Human are animals, so babies are not vegan if they drink milk!.
Breast milk are natural and healthy for the baby, but I think some vegan alternatives exist (like soy)!.

And a f?tus is never a vegan, they get nutrition from their mother, thus no one is born vegan!.

The mother may be a vegan, but the baby will not!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegan means to not exploit an animal for our own use!. Vegans do not consume things from OTHER animals!. A mother nursing her child is exactly what nature intended-no creature is exploited or harmed!. Yes, a vegan mother is an animal, but she would be caring for her own child, not disrupting or taking the resources of another creature for her own gain or use!. Big difference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes vegans can breastfeed, although their milk may lack certain components which can affect the brain development of the baby!. About one vegan dies every other year from parents that feed them just soy milk and fruit juice!.

Expect some bashing over this question!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cows make milk for their babies!. Human mothers make milk for their babies!. Every female animal make milk for their young!. It is humans that chose to use milk from other animals!.
Reply to person below!. Those are irresponsible vegans just like irresponsible omnivores!. A vegan baby can get all his nutrients from the mother's milk and if needed soy formula not soy milk since that doesn't have all the nutrients that a growing baby needs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

"The definition of vegan is: does not eat/drink animal or animal products!."---no it isn't!. OK, it is but not in the context you are using it!.

Humans are animals!. It wouldn't be vegan if human breast milk was taken from a female without her consent!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's a strange world where drinking milk from your own mother is questioned but milking a cow is considered normal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is an interesting question I almost spit out my mouth full of veal when I read it!. I probably would have if it wasn't cooked rare to prefect ion!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
