Can a high intake of mushrooms be dangerous for ones health?!

Question: Can a high intake of mushrooms be dangerous for ones health!?
Hi,

I never liked mushrooms before and never included them in my diet until a year ago!.

I am a total addict now and eat them in high quantities amost every day!. I just wanted to know if this could be dangerous for my health as I think they contain bad chemicals =S

I just love eating them!. They are like grey tasteless strawberries and even better than sex!

Thanks xWww@FoodAQ@Com

Maybe you started craving mushrooms because there so rich in savory glutamic compounds that you don't get as much of without meat!. Anything in excess can be poisonous, but mushrooms are mostly water!. I would not recommend eating more than a pound of raw mushrooms in an average day!.

Food mushrooms are not at all toxic naturally, but sometimes they can be contaminated!.

To help avoid that nastiness:
1) Eat organic mushrooms, because they have been sprayed with fewer chemicals!.
2) Eat mushrooms from your local growers market; not only is there less risk of contamination, fresh mushrooms taste so much better!.
3) Eat a wide variety of mushrooms; in addition to broadening your palette, it will reduce the risk of your exposure to nasty stuff by exposing you to less of any one particular contaminant that might be effecting your mushrooms!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Are u sure your not eating those "magical mushrooms"!. I LOVE mushrooms, but I'd pass on them and go for the sex!. lol

They are probably bad for you in very high quantities just like anything else!. To much of a good thing!.!.!.is a bad thing as the saying go!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm laughing at this post, because I'm sort of the same way! I used to hate mushrooms, and ever since I became a devoted vegetarian, I am now addicted to them!
