People that are vegetarian believe that eating meat is ''bad'' because it hurts their feelings IMO!.They have a weak faith in God!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Considering how much editing the bible has undergone since it was originally written, and the fact that as that's the case I hardly believe a word it says even though I believe in God, I wouldn't eat meat even if it said it was against God!. Which, for the record it, I'm sure it wouldn't, considering that one of the ten commandments is: "Do Not Kill"!. and I happen to believe that that commandment isn't specific to human beings!. I think animals were meant to be included, although I'm not big on bugs!. :)
I also hope this comment doesn't offend anyone, it's not meant too, it's just the way that I view things, and I'm sorry if it does!.
I'd also like to say that I agree with the person up there!. This question really is irrelevant, but I thought I should at least try and give a semi-decent answer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

"I am a Jesuit educated Catholic!. If meat was forbidden in the Bible and therefore also in Catholic doctrine, I would not have eaten meat since birth to begin with!. Blah, blah, blah!.!.!.!.!."
So do you do things like stone alduterers and homosexuals, not eat shellfish, pork, rabbits, or blood, not mix your fibers, and not lie!?
The Bible is full of silly rules like these, and nobody with half a brain does anything just because it is written in the Bible!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Buddy, I see you addressed it in your edit, but millions and millions (and millions) of people understand the Christian Bible was written by men and don't make any decisions based on the opinions of men from 2000-4000 years ago!.
I would never in a million years be a part of a religion that forbade the kindness that drives people to choose to be meat free!. Yes, I would switch religions instead of eating meat!.
Vegetarianism = love and kindness for other living beings!.
And, isn't love and kindness for others so much better than screaming hate at people for being different than the "norm"!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I;m going with the reverse,
I am a Jesuit educated Catholic!. If meat was forbidden in the Bible and therefore also in Catholic doctrine, I would not have eaten meat since birth to begin with!. However, meat eating is not against any Catholic law so it remains a personal lifestyle choice whether one should consume meat or not!. As you can see from the answers, people tend to interpret religion or whatever it is they believe in the manner that best fits their lifestyle and not the other way around!. They don't follow religion, they make it follow them!. If the religion says somethng in contrary to how they live their lives, they tend to abandon religion and dismiss it altogether,Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hmm!.!.Cain killed Abel because God accepted Abel's sacrifice of meat, and rejected Cain's sacrifice of vegetables!. Thats in the Bible!.
So does that make it against the bible!? Im not sure!.!.
but it does prove that God doesn't accept sacrifices of vegetables and accepts sacrifices of livestock!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

what about Catholics LOL(although I'm Christian)!. anyone should be able to answer this!.
anyhow!. I can't imagine veggism being against the bible!. thats stupid!. God gave adam and eve a vegan diet!. it wasn't until after the flood that eating meat became acceptable!.
Anyways, this question is hard because I simply cannot imagine vegetarianism being a sin!. If this was the case, that would mean God endorsed cruelty selfishness as the only option!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That's actually a good question!. I'm Catholic and I honestly think that being a vegan has drawn me closer to God as I revere all things that He's created!.
But if eating meat was a Ten Commandment, you mean!? I would have to follow it to the best of my ability!. If it was a deadly sin!? I again, would have to give it the old college try and eat the meat!.
I try to follow the teachings of God in all aspects of my life!. His will overrides my will!. Always!.
Cheers!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, I would "still not eat meat!."
I don't follow an ancient book, written by countless men, translated numerous times and edited in committees, as a guide for life!. I wouldn't credit the validity of any text which had such a history!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That makes as much sense as "If NOT killing was against the Bible, would you kill!?" It's senseless to ask "what if" questions that are not/will never be true about the Bible!. Vegetarianism isn't anti-religion!. It promotes non-violence (a value many religions teach)!.
I don't think God kills and eats animals in HeavenWww@FoodAQ@Com

I am not too what the question is about!.!.!.!.
There is nothing in the bible about being vegan or vegetarian!. I have heard of this once a long time ago!. When I heard about it I thought it was a bad interpretation and dismissed it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The way I see it is that if people didn't inhumanely kill the animals, I would eat them!. But because they do, I don't!. And I don't think God would make it a sin to support such cruelty!. :]Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yea, I would stilll not eat meat!. I'm Christian but I don't exactly believe in god!. Don't do what religion says!. Do what your mind says!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I was born Jewish and one orthodox Jew told me it was my duty to eat meat as respect to God and he knew vegetarians who had renewed their faith and started eating meat again!.
