Answers:
We don't eat meat, dairy, basically anything that comes from an animal!.!.!.!.

this means nothing that includes gelatine (haribo, jelly, marsh mallow etc)
No wearing leather or fur!.

Some 'vegans' will eat honey but I will not!.

Even some soft drinks are not vegan (coca cola for example)

Basically you do not EAT/DRINK/WEAR/USE any product that comes from or is tested on an animal!.

******make sure you are getting your vitamins and minerals though - I became quite ill due to a lack of Iron******Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegans don't eat meat, fish, dairy, eggs or honey!. They also don't wear leather, wool, silk or fur!.

Instead of milk you can use soy, rice, almond, oat or hemp milk!. You can get an egg replacer for cakes and other baked stuff!.

Just a word of advice!. It isn't really hard becoming a vegan, but you really need to research it first!. You can find so many new recipes and alternatives!. But not even knowing what vegans do and don't eat is kinda pointless!. If you want to become a vegan, fine, please do, but don't just do it for a label or without even bothering to research!. That is a one way ticker to malnourishment!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no meat, fish, seafood, eggs, dairy

you can buy fake everything - cream, cheese, icecream, milk, soft cheese, butter, mince, steak chunks, steak, lamb, chicken, sausages, burgers, sausage rolls, meat pies, cornish pasties!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
vegans are divided into those who eat the same meals as they did before but replace the meat/dairy with fakes!.
and vegans who eat a super-healthy wholefood diet replacing meat with beans/lentils and wholegrains/seeds!. beans/lentils + grains/seeds = complete protein equal to meat!. soya beans are complete by themselves, and most fake products are made from soya!.

so wholefood vegan would eat -
rice cakes with hummous
beans on toast
bean chillie with brown rice
lentil stew with bread
bean curry with rice
lentil bolognaise with pastaWww@FoodAQ@Com

Official definition of vegan from The Vegan Society:

"A vegan is someone who tries to live without exploiting animals, for the benefit of animals, people and the planet!. Vegans eat a plant-based diet, with nothing coming from animals - no meat, milk, eggs or honey, for example!. A vegan lifestyle also avoids leather, wool, silk and other animal products for clothing or any other purpose!."

Vegans 'can' eat any and every food available, unless it is made from an animal or its parts or excretions (in fact, they can eat that too but then they would not be, by definition, vegan)! It would be really difficult to list everything vegans do eat as it is far more than vegans don't eat!. It is for some reason an incredibly scary concept for a lot of people and sometimes elicits a lot of anger and sarcasm (which seems very odd - I guess people are scared of what they are not used to or don't understand!?)!.

---------------------------------
A vegan might eat the following in a normal day without much fuss or difficulty at all (and be perfectly satisfied and happy):

Toast or porridge and a banana

handful of almonds and an apple

vegan chocolate bar (dark chocolate is often vegan)

avocado, chili and tomato sandwich with egg-free mayo

popcorn

bean burrito and tortilla chips, vegetarian chili

oranges
-------------------------------

Gelatin is one common ingredient in foods that some people don't realise is not vegan (or vegetarian)!. Otherwise, lard, animal fat, 'chicken powder', chicken stock!.!.!. mostly if it is of animal origin it will be obvious!Www@FoodAQ@Com

before you become a true vegan

I think by cutting out so many things from your diet, you would miss a lot of the nutrients that you need to become truly healthy!.
To get over this you need to take vitamins and supplements to stay healthy!.
a friend was a vegetarian and had all manner of health problems, including high cholesterol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Veganism is a diet and lifestyle that seeks to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose!.[1][2] Vegans endeavor not to use or consume animal products of any kind!.[3] The most common reasons for becoming a vegan are an ethical commitment or moral conviction concerning animal rights, the environment, human health, and spiritual or religious concerns!.[4][5][2] Of particular concern to many vegans are the practices involved in factory farming and animal testing, and the intensive use of land and other resources required for animal farming!.

Various polls have reported vegans to be between 0!.2%[4] and 1!.3%[6] of the U!.S!. population, and between 0!.25%[5] and 0!.4%[7] of the UK population!.

Vegan diets (sometimes called strict or pure vegetarian diets) are a subset of vegetarian diets, which are credited with lowering the risk of colon cancer, heart attack, high blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, prostate cancer, and stroke when contrasted to diets high in fats and sugars!.[8] Properly planned vegan diets are healthful and have been found to satisfy nutritional needs!.[9] However, poorly planned vegan diets can be low in levels of calcium, iodine, vitamin B12 and vitamin D!. Vegans are therefore encouraged to plan their diet and take dietary supplements as appropriate!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you get it by now :)

Btw some things i did not find here are for example they cannot have tattoo if it is not made with vegan ink ( normal black ink is made from charcoal which is made from burnt animal bones), they cannot wear silk or leather!.
