Vegetarianism and Veganism?!

Question: Vegetarianism and Veganism!?
I am a proud vegetarian, and I became one to show that I do not support the way that those animals are farmed and that I will not give any money to the industry!. You know how people say that you save animals lives, well I think I need educating on that because all I can see is that they are already dead so how do you save that life!? I know that vegetarians decrease the demand for meat, is that what people mean!? How does vegetarianism benefit the animals in question!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yeah that's the basic idea!. Shops and restaurants and so on order foods according to what they think they will need so if they find they are using less meat because more of their customers are vegetarians they will order less of it and if you work your way back up the system it leads to less animals being killed or less animals being bred for meat in the first place!.

How many animals it saves depends on who you ask (and I suppose on how much meat you ate before changing your diet) but most sources seem to say about 4 animals a year if you're vegetarian and about 7 if you're vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, that is what they mean!. If there is less of a demand for meat farmers will reduce the animals they raise for slaughter in the future!. It will of course not help those animals already slaughtered!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yeah, if they're not bred (due to demand for meat) they're not born, so they can't suffer!.

I wonder why you ask about veganism!. Vegetarianism does support the way the animals are farmed unfortunately!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

vegetarianism benefits the animals by giving less money to animal abusers!. becoming vegan is a true boycott of all animal exploitationWww@FoodAQ@Com

Check out www!.peta!.com!.!.!. I'm a vegetarian also and this website encouraged me to become one!. There is lots of info on it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Explain to me how vegetarianism is good for animals!? The animals are bred to be slaughtered and consumed and as you rightly said "There dead!." Off to eat a rare steak and if that upsets anyone, go and hug a tree and stop wearing leather and silk and brush the path before every step you take!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
