Do you do all these things if you are a true vegan?!
I know that if you are vegan you probably take a good care about what you eat and that you do not wear any leather!.
But I have a few questions!.
Are you sure that you do not have any silk clothing!? (Silk is produced by animals)
Is your tattoo vegan!? (a black tattoo ink is made from charcoal which is made from burnt bones) I know there is a vegan ink, just asking if your tattoo is made with one cause I know many vegans have tattoos with their life motto etc and dunno if all of them know what is the ink made from!.
None of the product you use includes glycerol!? (It is widely used in cosmetics, including makeup, toothpaste, mouthwashes, skin care products, shaving cream, hair care products, soap, water based personal lubricants and cough syrups) Because glycerol (known also as glycerine) is a by-product of biodiesel production (via the transesterification of vegetable oils and ANIMAL fats)!.
Glycerol is also used in compost which is then used as a fertilizer for plants which you consequently eat!. I mean you can eat veggies which you grow and you know that you have not used fertilizer on them but those that you buy in shops!.!.!.Do not you think that fertilizer is used on all veggies nowadays!?
Do not your car use bio diesel!? (Why!? Mentioned above)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am 100% positive i do not have any leather or silk products!. I do not have a tattoo, nor will i ever have one (even though i never knew that about tattoos)!. I use this natural makeup, that is not even tested on animals, and it does not contain glycerol!. Neither does anything else i use!. Yes i do use compost in my yard, and i also probably buy vegetables that were once planted in compost!. (but i know i can not live 100% vegan!. I think its almost impossible!. And as long as i am trying really hard i am happy!. And i do not have a car!. =) Hope i helped!. =)Www@FoodAQ@Com
Ideally vegans should buy organic veg to avoid fertilizers!.
I didn't know about the tattoo thing!. I don't have one but really want one badly!. Tell me, is it just black ink!?
As for the rest, I exclude these things from my life!. I buy vegan approved cosmetics and I don't wear silk!.
P!.s!. I really agree a lot with the second poster!. You can't always avoid hurting animals because of who we are!. Even if you grow your own veg, there is no guarantee that beasts in the ground aren't killed as you pull up the roots!. Or when you walk down the street, you can't be expected to go on your hands and knees with a magnifying glass!. At least the very small creatures that are unavoidably killed, are killed instantaneously!. Small consolation!. Vegans do their best so nobody can fault them for it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I can't be sure that I haven't bought any silk clothing but, I know that as soon as i became aware of the silk facts I did not buy any clothing with silk in it!.
I did buy leather before(not intentionally, just didn't realize so many things were made out of leather - this is what social conditioning does to you) but I know that since I became aware of the leather facts that I have not bought any leather!.
I do not have a tattoo and will not get one;
a) I don't really want one atm
b)if i did i would probably not like it in a few decades/days
c) tattoo ink, as you say, is not vegan!. Although there is "vegan" tattoo, I don;t know, I will make up my mind some time when i have to!.
My point is, being vegan is not a contest or something one follows by driving themselves crazy to make sure they are 100% vegan, vegan-ism is about doing all you CAN!. I am doing all that I can!. And if I find out a company tests on animals or that there is animal in one of the products I buy, I find an alternative and stop buying it!.
So vegan does not translate to perfect!. It translates to being the best you can as a vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1) No I dont have any silk clothing!. Vegans dont wear silk!.
2) Yes I have one tattoo and it was done with vegan ink
3) No I dont use anything that uses animal glycerine!. Although a lot of it is, not all glycerine is animal based!. I only buy and use products approved by the vegan society or from completely natural sources!. This is pretty easy for me as I stock a lot of the stuff in my store :)
4) We grow a lot of our own produce!. The little that we do buy is organic!. It we eat anything that isnt organic, well sure the fertiliser etc!. may not be completely vegan, but it is impossible to live in a bubble!.
Being vegan is about doing the most that you can, and working to improve the lives of animals by encouraging fundamental changes in our societies structure!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I do go out of my way to check and see if products have glycerol/glycerin and to avoid them!. Unfortunately I am reliant on my car for work, though in the future I would like to live within walking distance to my job!. The one thing I will still get is shoes with leather!. I think good shoes with good arch support are important and if I can only find a comfortable shoe that has some leather on it I will get it and feel guilty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
going vegan can be cheaper and obviously healthier in time, when you find the right balance of nutrients and vitamins
however, most normal people cant afford to just go out and buy new everything once they decide to become vegan
i have been vegan 7 months and now have vegan toothpasta, shampoo, contitioner, cleaning products, moisteriser, make up, etc!.!.
and i try to buy everything vegana nd cruelty free when i can!.
i do not have a car and dont think i plan to!.
and not yet got a tat but if i do il make sure its vegan!

Don't think I have any silk clothing except ties left over from before I was a vegan (my leather belt is over 20 years old, why should I get rid of it!?)
No tattoos
Glycerol from non animal sources - I check the packet; anyway it has been around since before biodiesel!.
But a true vegan, well, I try!.!.!.!.
Bio diesel - here in the UK I'm sure if they were using it they'd crow about it; fortunately the world is learning what a crap idea biodiesel is for food production
Compost can come from rotten veg!. Yes, it's a tricky one if you do not have the whole production claim!.
Anyway I ask - are you a true vegan then!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
