Absolutely! I am a vegan have been successfully breastfeeding my daughter for the past 20 months!. ust ensure you have a well balanced diet (as everyone should) and that you are getting plenty of calories as your body needs more when you are breastfeeding!. I also still take pre-natal vitamins just to give me that extra boost!Www@FoodAQ@Com
My mother was (and she still is) vegetarian through four healthy pregnancies and subsequent breastfeeding!. During her fifth and last pregnancy her doctor told her to eat fish (for no other reason than he wasn't a trained dietitian, I imagine, and therefore didn't understand that a vegetarian diet is perfectly adequate without adding unnecessary animal flesh to it - If it ain't broke, don't fix it!)!.
How come you asked about becoming a vegetarian in the heading question, but then talked about becoming pescaterian (sic) in the next sentence!? The two have no connection whatsoever, as pescatarian is a subclass of omnivore, not a subclass of vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just so long as you're getting all the essential amino acids!. It's actually probably really good for your baby!. Go to www!.nutritiondata!.com and keep track of your diet and see if you can come up with a food plan that provides all the necessary nutrients for a developing baby!. See a dietitian if you're unsure!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I don't think it matters to your son but it will matter to you because lactating requires a tremendous amount of energy!. As long as you don't try to turn your son vegan because babies need fats to develop!. You should really talk to your physician before you decide anythingWww@FoodAQ@Com
Vegetarian yes but vegan no, according to this article written by a vegan who did some research before having her baby:
