See if you can get some Caboc, is a lovely Scottish cheese, creamy like a brie or camembert, rolled in oatmeal!. Very hard to find, but absolutely delicious!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It depends what strength your looking for, if you want a mild cheese there are some lovely Dutch ones like Gouda, Edam is also nice!.
Mature cheddar is an obvious suggestion for a real cheesy taste but I'd also recommend 'Mexicana' which is cheddar full of peppers and is nice and spicy!.
If you're looking for a blue cheese you can't beat Blue Stilton or Danish Blue!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cornish yarg, Brie de Meaux, a good mature Stilton, goats cheese and some Gruyere - you can't go wrong!. Be sure to get some good crackers as well!

I'm a great lover of cheese - and for me you can't beat a bit of good wholesome 'Wensleydale'!.
Mind you, it does depend to an extent, in which country you live - and even which area of that country!.
Local produce is often the best !Www@FoodAQ@Com
