I read an essay in college once where someone pondered whether or not an ear of corn felt being pulled from its stalk and whether or not vegetables felt pain!. After all, they were living things!.

Raw carrots will be alive until you cook them, or your stomach acid kills them!. Some things, like seeds, can pass through your body and still be alive!. In nature, this is the way most plants spread their seed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
