There are no side effects of being a Vegeterian i turned Vegeterian about a year ago and i am 14!. I think its cruel what people do to animals!. I no longer get tempted to eat meat i just remember what it is and it makes me sick!. there are loads of good meat alternatives out there you just have to see which ones you like!.
Hope i helped!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The temptation of meat will be very hard, but having substitutes for it everyday can help!. Meat provides a lot of protein in a diet, and everyone needs protein, so instead you can eat peanut butter or soy beans like etamomi!. You should be able to loose weight, but just because you want to go veg doesn't mean you shouldn't exercise!. Exercise is very important in keeping a healthy lifestyle!. The only side affects I can think of is that if you don't balance your diet, because of the lack of nutrients from meat, you may become dizzy or sick within the first week because your body won't be used to it!. Other than that, everything seems fine!. You may want to speak with a nutritionist to discuss healthy alternative options in becoming a vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Losing weight: it is easier to lose weight on a vegetarian diet, because many of the sources of protein are also high in fiber, which fills you up!. But there's no way to know how much (if any) weight you'll lose!. If you include a lot of plant oils, sweets, and salty snacks, you can gain weight as a vegetarian!.
Make sure you take a multivitamin!. The only major vitamin you need to worry about is b12, and that's only if you are vegan, but it never hurts to be a little careful!.
As far as side effects, when I eat veg I have more energy and my blood sugar stays under better control!. I also have fewer digestive problems!.
Meat will become less tempting as you go on!. Often, after a few months, longtime vegetarians report that meat starts to smell bad and even make them feel a little sick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The first thing to consider is how your parents are going to react to your becoming a vegetarian!. You might want to go to the library and read some books on vegetarian nutrition so that you will be able to answer their concerns!. You might also read some cookbooks and find out how to cook vegetarian food (your mom might not want to cook separate food for you, but you could cook food for you and make enough so that the rest of your family could eat some, too!.
There are no side effects to being a vegetarian, as long as you eat a wide variety of foods so that you can get proper nutrition!.
You stop cravings by not thinking about them!. You can find recipes that provide the tastes you miss!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you find meat tempting, don't become a vegetarian!. Especially if you are only going to do it for a month or so, that tells me you don't have a spiritual or religious objection to consuming the flesh of other animals!. Why do you want to do it!? Surely not for weight, you have a healthy weight for your height!.
Vegetarians have trouble getting enough protein unless they eat a lot of eggs, cheese, or beans!. As a 13-year-old, you probably don't get to choose what comes home from the grocery store!. If the grocery-shoppers in your household don't cooperate, you won't be able to get a healthy and balanced diet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think its a great decision!.!.before you become a veg!.!.you need to know that you also can't eat gelatin!.!.!.this includes most yogurts, marshmallows and all jello!. gelatin contains animal bones and hides!. It is possibly that you may not loose any weight turning into a veg!.!.I haven't but I didn't do it for that purpose!. SIde effects are the fact that you need to be careful because you couldn't get enough protein or iron if your not careful!.
As for the daily temptations, I can't really help you on that one, because i'm not really tempted to eat dead animals!.

You may or may not lose weight by becoming a vegetarian!. That is not a reason to do it!. If you eat the unhealthy way, you can easily gain weight - eating too much cheese, deep-fried foods (even in oil), white pasta and white bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
