A lot of beginner vegetarians bulk up because they take protein right out of their diet and begin living off carbs!. The thing is you actually need protein to lose weight and keep it off, and as a vegetarian the best forms of protein are soy, nuts and mushrooms!. Here are some of my personal recipes!
I drink soy smoothies for breakfast and they are the best thing ever for beating cravings! I just chuck a banana, a handful of those frozen mixed berries, a cup (or more if you want) of light soy milk and a spoonful of psyllium husks into a blender!. The husks are a fibre hit and are what gets you full!. Other smoothies I make are mango with banana, soy milk, passionfruit pulp, the husks and frozen juice ice cubes!. It's atropical smoothie and delicious!
Salads!.!.!.my favourite is cos lettuce, avocado, grated carrot, alfalfa sprouts, cucumber, fresh peas or corn, and pine nuts drizzeled with the juice of half a lemon!. I usually make heaps of it and I'll eat it for lunch or dinner!.
For dinner, when I first became a vegetarian I found it difficult to find good dinner recipes, but Asian recipes were a great help, now my favourite is vegetable stirfry with garlic, ginger, lemon and kaffir lime leaves!. Just pick your favourite vegetabes and toss them in a wok with olive oil and add a chopped clove of garlic, a little chopped ginger, the lime leaves and the juice of a whole lemon!.
Snacks are fruits, nuts or soy yogurt!. Hope I helped!
And a tip I wish I had known before!. Some soy milks taste like crap so shop around for one you like since when you go vegan it'll be a big part of your life!. So Good soy milk tastes like real milk diluted in water blended with cold overcooked white rice!.!.!.definently one to avoid!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eat 100% raw fruit and veges for as long as you can!.
Try to extend that period every day!.
More raw vegan!.
Search for the people who have lost about 1 kg each week!.
If you eat cooked ,eat it at dinner only!.
And eat a kg of steamed frozen peas with extra virgin olive oil and grey/celtic/macrobiotic salt at dinner if you want a tasty dinner!.
It is better than other junk food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, I understand it's not an easy transition and you'll be craving to cheat once in a while!. In my experience you need to make up your mind and convince yourself why you want to do this!. I am a vegetarian and was a vegan for like 45 days, but the reason I was a vegan was just to try it out!.!.!. I knew I could switch to being vegetarian again!. The way I use to control my sweet tooth and rich food cravings was to remind myself constantly what I am doing and to make it a point to ask what the ingredients are everywhere I go!. Pick out a few of your favorite snacks and keep stock of those items always including in your car, bag, office drawers, etc!. The only thing that will help you to pull it off as a vegan successfully is that reason why you have chosen to be one! Remember, you have thousands of recipes online and try out different cuisines which are known to be vegetarian (Indian, some Mediterranean, some Chinese, Thai, etc)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
