Help? Drank milk. .?!

Question: Help!? Drank milk!. !.!?
Ok so I'm a vegetarian!. But I usually avoid milk!. I hate the taste!. And on Thursday night I tried some milk and cereal!. I went vegetarian the beginning of September!. And kinda stopped drinking milk then!. Well the next day around 8pm or so I had extreme stomach cramps!. And then came the diarrhea!. Is this due to drinking milk!? Because I eat cheese!. And sometimes will have a little milk in macaroni!.!. Thanks!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It could be!. You may have lost to ability to produce lactase (an enzyme that degrades lactose)!. Cheese doesn't have as much lactose which is mostly in the whey!. Depending on your age and sex to stop drinking milk is not too smart!.

skipper is correct!.

when you do not drink milk for a long time, you stop making the enzyme to digest lactose!.

that can cause stomach ache, diarrhea, gas when you drink milk

if you started drinking milk again, you would probably start making the enzyme again!.

most adults are lactose intolerant to start with!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The 1st Dude is right!.!.!.!. There's something called "Villi" in your intestines that allows food to move through, and observes liquids!. My suggestion: eat anything with lots of fiber to add roughage in your system!. It should ease the diarrhea and stomach pain!. Good Luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, cheese has a lot less milk in it than a half a bowl full of milk does!. I'd say that yeah, the cereal with milk made you sick!. If you want to add milk back to your diet, I'd suggest you do it slowly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, milk can make you sick even if cheese doesn't!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
