Well studies have proven that MEAT doesn't hold that much protein as they say it does!.Meat barley contains any protein!.

I eat sh!t load of peanuts!.Milk!.Cheese!.Eggs
and
Seafood is one of the best sources of protein because it's usually low in fat!. but salmon is a little higher in fat but it is the heart-healthy kind: omega-3 fatty acids!.

all of the above are sources of protein!.

oh and then there's that Protein on the go stuff!.(cereal bars/drinks etc!.)

Hope i helped!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have been a vegetarian for about a month now!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are different types of vegetarians following vegetarianism!. I am a vegertarian, and I eat any kind of seafood!. Such as crab, squid, fish, lobster, shrimp, stuff like that!. If I were out and about and I wanted to get a quick something to eat fast food wise, I would go and get a Deep Sea Double from Rally's!. Yummy! ^_^ And then of course Fruits E-Kwols Awesomeness and of course Vegetables! I never liked salads until I became a vegetarian and I realzied they're reeeeally good!. So yeah, just the few things I eat: Seafood, Fruits, and Vegetables!. Dairy is fine too!. Pizza! ^_^ Haha!. Hope I helped! <(^_-)vWww@FoodAQ@Com

There are lots of vegetarians in your local supermarket, too!. Morningstar Farms, Boca Burgers, Yves, Litelife, Field Roast, Amy's!. Most of the them will be in the frozen food section, but check the produce area, too!.

Congrats on becoming a vegetarian; post again if you need any more info!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I was once a vegetarian!.!.!. for two days!.

I thought, man it's just not right what they do to these cows and pigs and stuff!. I shouldn't eat this!.

NOW I didn't really have a problem eating the meat, but rather how the animals were treated!. If the animals were peacefully killed (oxi-moron) then I didn't have a problem!. But I saw this video and I decided to be a vegetarian!.
http://www!.youtube!.com/watch!?v=CfR5G0Zbs!.!.!.

The reason I stopped:
My mom told me the risks of being a vegetarian!. There is a huge lack of certain protein/vitamins/minerals that you can only get from meat!. So, I figured that this boycott of meat was not worth it if it was hurting my health!.

Vegetarians eat:
Anything except meat!.

But really, a good source of protein is peanut butter!. So eat a lot of PB & J sandwiches!!!

I hope I helped!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I not putting down vegetarian's, but when they tell you vegie burgers, hot-dogs, chicken taste like the real thing, it's a load of crap!. My vegie friends will even tell you the same thing as I just told you!. I have tried all the tofu crap and it is not real, when I tried to eat it and thing it was going to be a hamburger, it was not!. When I had my open heart operation, I thought I'd turn vegetarian, but my doctors told me no I had to eat balanced meals!. Which I do, to this day!. No bad for a man who was only given a year to live 16 years ago!.
take care

Soy, beans, and nuts (protein), veggies, fruit, etc!.

Keep in mind that when you eat fresh fruit and veggies, your technically eating them alive (and thus torturing them to death) rather than killing them first as with meat products!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

soy chicken is really good
look online there's SO much really good info about veg!. eating!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

We eat everything an omni eats, except for meat (including fish and other sea animals/shellfish), animal fat/tallow or broth and gelatin (or, depending on the level of vegetarian, eggs, milk or honey)!.

We eat fruits and vegetables of all kinds (take a trip to the market, there're probably fruits and veggies you've never heard of before just begging to be tried out), grains like rice, millet and quinoa, nuts and seeds, meat replacements like tofu, tempeh (a fermented form of soy) and seitan ("wheat meat"!.) Some of us also eat faux meats (made from soy, wheat gluten and other ingredients) that rival the real thing in taste!.

Depending on what kind of vegetarian you want to be, you'll have certain options and avoid certain things!.

The types of vegetarians and what they do and don't eat are:

OVO-LACTO (egg-milk) vegetarian: Avoid meat of all kinds (including fish/sea animals), animal fats or broth, animal rennet (in cheese; some cheeses aren't vegetarian, look for ones that say non-animal rennet on the ingredients label or ask the manufacturer), gelatin and carmine/carminic acid/cochineal/E120 (a colorant derived from crushed up beetles)!. You can eat milk and other dairy products, eggs and honey as well as anything else that doesn't have one of the ingredients I listed above!.

OVO (egg) vegetarian: Avoid meat, animal fats/broth, milk products (including milk, yogurt, ice cream, etc!.) and ingredients (like lactose and whey), gelatin, carmine/carminic acid/cochineal/E120!. You can eat eggs and honey as well as anything else not on the list of ingredients to avoid!.

LACTO (milk/dairy) vegetarian: Avoid meat, animal fats/broth, eggs, gelatin, carmine/carminic acid/cochineal/E120!. You can eat milk/dairy products and honey as well as anything not on the list!.

VEGAN (strict vegetarian): Avoid meat, animal fats/broth, eggs, milk/dairy products and ingredients, honey, gelatin, carmine/carminic acid/cochineal/E120, stearic acid and any other ingredient that is derived from animals (a list can be found here: http://www!.spunk!.org/texts/food/sp001610!.!.!. Vegans also avoid buying/wearing leather, fur, silk, wool/alpaca/angora and any other animal derived fabric/fibers!.

A lot of people start off as lacto-ovo (I did) and then change to a different form of vegetarianism once they've gotten settled in!. Others start out as vegans or spend the rest of their lives as lacto-ovos!. It's up to you which you choose!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've been a vegetarian for 2 years and a near-vegan for 2 months!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
