WHAT!? there are so many things other than meat and eggs!.!.like
brown rice
beans
peas
tofuWww@FoodAQ@Com

I wouldn't worry about protein deficiency, because it's a very rare condition!. One would have to be literally starving in order to become protein deficient!. Only 9% of the total caloric intake needs to be protein!. That's it, just 9%!.

You can get protein from <all> foods!. Literally!. Protein rich foods are lentils, grains, soy, nuts, seeds, nut butters, sea vegetables and dairy!. You don't have to eat dairy if you don't want to, either!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well there are a lot of vegetarian products that are meat replacers on the market that might be good as far as protein and taste is concerned!. Soy-milk has some, or if you drink cows milk it probably does, not sure since I don't drink it!. Um, go for meat replacers!? I like vegan boca burgers and tofurki for my protein needs, along with soy-milk!. That's all I really know aside from nuts!.

Beans are also good, also if you eat a mixture of vegetables that contain amino acids your body can put those together for protien!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Oh there are lots
soy products- soy milk, tofu, etc
beans
dairy- milk, cottage cheese is especially good for it, cheese in general
whole grains- I eat whole grain tortillas a lot, the ones I buy have 5g each!
Protein is in so many things, you could try protein shakes/bars tooWww@FoodAQ@Com

I'm a vegetarian nutrition major!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

wait!.!. when is peanut butter vegetarian!?

and um!.!. nor are eggs!.

and if you just ate properly!.!. such as fresh fruits and veggies and a wide variety of them, you would SO NOT have a protein issue!.

trust me on this one!.!.!. i'm a vegan and i have too much protein, my doctor yells at me always about my high lipid counts!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

vegan, 34 years!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

One cup of soy milk has 7g of protein (I`m sure regular milk has the same or more, I just don`t like it);
Half a cup of cottage cheese (that`s only 125ml) has 15g of protein;
Quaker oatmeal 6g
5 Tofurky slices 13g
1 Schneider`s veggie burger 16g
4 Schneider`s veggie nuggets 13g
1 Tofurky brand veggie sausage 30g
1 (100g) fat free yogurt 4g

In fact many things have more protein than meat!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
