Is honey healthy for us?!

Question: Is honey healthy for us!?
I'm curious, I'm a vegan fro primarily health reasons and I really don't know any negative reasons behind honey!.!.!.
Are there any negatives and what are the positives!?
And please, don't give me the whole "don't eat honey it hurts bees" because I know that but I also know most of the fruit and vegetables I eat are grown in fertilizers and soils containing animals!.

Raw local honey is quite effective at reducing allergy symptoms!. It will soothe an upset stomach, is effective at treating symptoms from ulcers, is rich in B-vitamins, and when applied topically, speeds the healing of wounds and burns!. And Grandma was right- when mixed with lemon juice, it is the perfect thing to take for a sore throat!.

Honey is a natural antibiotic, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory agent!. It promotes the rehydration of the body, and is moisturizing for skin and hair!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

honey is a natural sugar and has to be used in moderation as any other but the only bad thing I know about it is that if you eat it baked in bread or cereal do not use it often it is ok if you are not a baby litteral because infents do not have a lot of air in the stomach and can get botulism from the use but adult have a lot of air swallowed with food!.
but for adults the baking in the product is a B vitamin issue
I know from resurch that some people have had problems if they eat a lot of baked honey in oats and bread because the heat changes the process and will take the b vitamins that is found in the food and not leave them for your use!. on occasion it will not be bad but if you eat bread and granola for b vitamins you will be best not to use bread made with honey it can cause problems I have a friend who was told to not use honey to make bread with because of the B vitamin problemWww@FoodAQ@Com

Sugar is sugar is sugar!. Our bodies change it to glucose, and use it or store it exactly the same!. It does not matter if it comes form a flower, a beet, a cane, milk, or any other source!.
And technically, honey does not come from a bee, it is from the pollen from flowers, the bees just process it!.
Sorry vegans, you just can't get totally away from a living being being involved in the food chain!. Even the soil we grow our plants in is processed by worms!. They are essential to the earth, without it, our soil would be compact and without air!.
and whoever said that collecting honey hurts the bees is wrong!. It does not!. The bee keeper leaves plenty to sustain the colony!. If he does not, they leave, or die!.
This is one of my objections to being a vegan!. How can a person claim to be all vegan, all natural, if they have no clue about the natural world!? And believe all kinds of wrong info about animals and the natural world!?
Good for you for asking questions!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Bee's aren't hurt at all if you buy local!.!.You just sit a bee box thing out there and they come, its not enclosed and they can leave anytime they want so the cruelty to bees argument is rather weak for those who think that!.

If you have any sort of allergy problems, local honey will help you out greatly because they use local pollen (the stuff you may be allergic too) and help you build up an immunity to it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Knows a person that raises bees and honey!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here is a website that explains why honey is NOT vegan!. http://www!.vegetus!.org/honey/honey!.htm
There are many reasons why most vegans abstain from honey!. The whole process of raising bees for honey is cruel!. Vegans do not purchase silk because the process is cruel, so I dont see any difference in stealing the honey from bees!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've heard that raw honey is good for you!. You know, the kind that isn't mostly sugar and water, and is actually honey!. And I guess it helps soothe colds too!. And I don't think eating honey hurts bees, I think vegans just view it as stealing!. I like honey though, it tastes great on toast or in tea!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

some people are allergic to honey , a lot aren`t it has huge benefits ,it can be used on a rash ,burn , or open wounds , in fact during wars ,the use of honey ,& leeches , was all they had on hand ,in natures basket, royal jelly , is made from bee`s it has proven to be beneficial for ladies faces ,Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, it'll rot your teeth and as a sugar it's readily converted to fat in the body!. There's a small risk of allergy!. You might want to consider some sort of reduced sugar jam as an alternative if you're really on a health kick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes honey is very good for you!. it's an expectorant, great sugar substitute, and has other healthy benefits!. Unfortunately, as a vegan you can't eat honey!. It comes from an animal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

How does it hurt the bee's!? I was told in science that the bee's make way too much for them to ever really use because they expect an animal will come along and eat most of it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's very healthy and has many different uses!. As with anything, it's best not to eat too much!. Moderation is key to being healthy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've heard that it has fewer calories and is easier digested than refined white sugar!. It's raw and natural, so it's organic!.!.!. It's also good for helping with a sore throat or cold!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't think there are any negatives to honey, any significant ones at least!. I know it helps with throat-related sicknesses!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Honey has been proven to be very beneficial for many purposes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Honey is all good as long as its in the raw and you are not on a candita diet where all honey is to be elimimnatedWww@FoodAQ@Com

It's a bit better for you than regular sugar!. It's still nearly pure sugar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it's better than using some other sweeteners but i wouldnt call it a health foodWww@FoodAQ@Com

raw honey is good for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
