Buy a set of barbels/dumbbells if that is possible!. If not try what the locals here do : get a iron water pipe ,stick both ends into then two containers (large milk cans, plastic jugs etc), pour cement into them, dry and presto, a barbel!. Then they make smaller ones as dumbbells!. Just make sure the iron pipe is strong enough to withstand the weighted ends!.
But be careful because using improperly unbalanced "weights" can cause more harm than good!. They can lead to wrong posture or uneven distribution which can strain your back/muscles for example!.
In the absence of actual gym equipment, I prefer using my own body as "weights"!. Push ups, pull ups, lunges, work very well!. also do isometrics: pushing against or pulling a stationary/heavy object like a tree or wall, car etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your own body weight is great for lots of stuff, like:
Chair dips (best tricep exercise ever)
Push-ups (vary your foot placement, even try them with your feet up on a chair or bed)
Pull-ups (a pull-up bar in a doorway is really inexpensive)
Squats (really deep squats are killer --- try holding a gallon jug filled with water in each hand for extra weight)
You can use the gallon jugs for plenty of other arm exercises
Use your imagination! It doesn't matter how goofy it looks, as long as it works!Www@FoodAQ@Com
