Soy Based Nutrional Drink for children?!

Question: Soy Based Nutrional Drink for children!?
Hi!

My 7 yr old is allergic to the protein in cow's milk!. He's also a very picky eater and is not eating much!. I have tried to find a Soy based nutritional drink for him!. He can't have Pediasure because it is based in cow's milk!. I need a supplement that has no traces of cow's milk, just soy!.
Does anyone know of a soy based nutritional drink for children out there!? Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yes they do and you can get flavoured one to help ease it into him, most children will not drink raw or fortified soya beverages, the make strawberry, some chocolate and carob, vanilla and berry ones, just make sure read the labels carefully as whey from milk is used in some, soya whey is different not a dairy based one!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, there are all sorts of different kinds of non-dairy beverages out there!. I would never call them 'nutritional' drinks, as I'm not sure what that is!. Do you mean fortified!? Yeah, lots of those too!. Vita Soy, Silk, Rice Dream, Soy Dream, and !.!. the list goes on and on !.!.!. there are also hundreds of different non-dairy ice-creams and!.!. you name it, someone is selling it!.

As for your 7 year old being "allergic", this is a complete misnomer!. So is Lactose Intolerance a misnomer!. I will explain:

Lactose Intolerance is a completely natural thing!. The term "Lactose Intolerance" was created to keep the N!. American community ignorant of their own human nature!. To make people feel something is wrong with them -- to make people feel they have a dysfunction or illness, but it is natural and normal!.

"Lactose Intolerance" happens to every single mammal on the planet, including humans!. When you are born, you produce an enzyme that breaks down your mother's milk (there are also more enzymes in the milk too -- heat kills enzymes by the way i!.e!. pasteurized breast milk would make your baby very ill)!. When the breast feeding is done at say, age 3 or 4 or whenever (in modern times it's difficult to get mother to breast feed even for a few months, not long ago it was done for a much longer period of time), there is no more need for this enzyme, so slowly the body stops producing it, and then stops completely!. Thus, you have now become "Lactose Intolerant"!.

Grown humans do not need milk!. It's for babies!. Especially the milk of another animal, which is not even meant for humans at all!.

There are billions of people in Asian (they are the majority in the world) that never have any other milk than their mother's breast milk!. Dairy is a non-food in most places in the world for the simple reason that we do not need it!. But, if you continue to consume milk (lactose), say in the form of cow's milk, this enzyme will continue to be stimulated into production!. People usually consume less and less dairy as they get older anyway, replacing milk with tea or coffee, replacing cream with non-dairy creamer, etc!. and without knowing it, they have become more and more Lactose Intolerant!. The occasional ice-cream or whatever may be something their body can handle, but if they suddenly drink a large glass of milk, they may experience digestive problems because they have gone over their digestive limit since their enzyme production is now very low and not able to handle large amounts!.

This is common knowledge all over the world!. Only here in N!. American do we not know these very basic things about ourselves!. I never knew this either until a a Russian man I was talking to was so surprised that I had no idea about "Lactose Intolerance" and how mammals do not need milk of any kind after the breastfeeding stage!. Now I know, and now you know!. It's completely natural!. And we do not need to find a replacement for dairy when we are "Lactose Intolerant", simply because we never needed it in the fist place!.

I hope you now understand and will not worry about your 7 year old getting enough nutrients without dairy and stop looking for a "supplement"!. Instead, just look for some tasty drinks that they'll enjoy drinking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I consume no dairy!. My two children have never consumed dairy since birth (other than breast milk)!. They are healthy, strong, tall, smart, energetic, etc!. etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
