Answers:
These are my reasons, which you may find a bit dippy!.

I don't think we should use animals, and i find the arguement that not eating meat is "unnatural," a completely stupid arguement!. I mean come on, it's totally natural!.!. What IS natural these days huh!? We are a civilization and have laws, a society and population that can reason!.!.

Contraception is not natural!.!.But we do it because it is a responsible thing!. And for a start, i don't see anybody eating us!.!.!? I'm not saying we didn't earn our place, and aren't the most 'intelligent' species but why deny another being the right to live when you don't have to harm or kill it!?

Especially, because you know how people say,
"well, If you're a Vegan, you FAIL at life,"
or
"I'm not going to listen to some crazy animal lover,"
or the kind of people who say that animals are there for us to eat!.

Yeah, -- WHATEVER -- because, as far as i know, many people in this modern world are born into a world and have it easy!.!. I'm not saying all do, but i mean as the human species!.!. And I am as much for human rights as animal rights, just so you know!.

And, think about it, we're over populated, no!? You don't want to be eaten or fight for your life do you!? I view all life as equal but i do find that humans is in some way a bit more valueble, not the life itself!.!. But that humans have a bigger understanding of things and are more intelligent, never the less, intelligence is not the same as emotion!. And animals have emotions, as for the mirror of self awareness!.!. That is a silly test really!.!.!. They might not understand that they can find their reflection in the mirror!.!. but they are still aware it is them experiencing the pain!.

Then there are the people who say!.!. "Well, it's not morally wrong to do so, because it's just your "feelings" for animals!." -

I find this bullshit!. If by feelings for animals they mean actually bothering to CARE then so be it!. They're basically calling themselves selfish!.

I understand people have their reasons for eating meat!.!. but i have mine for not!.

also, because, i haven't gone vegan, myself, YET!.!. so i really can't talk, but the only thing i found that vegans need to supplement, is B12!. And, b12 would be found on plants - hell it's even found in some soil!? But, today with our methods, we can't really get it!. So it is also found on meat and in animal products!. :-) I don't see a problem with supplementing it, Lol!? It's a bacteria that grows!.

And then there are the vegans who say it's unnatural to EAT MEAT!.!. no no no! Of course, i can't see us bringing down any animal with our teeny canines but, men have hands and are intelligent, they can adapt!. So, If having hands, to make manmade guns and weapons, which kill the animals is adapting, then how is veganism any different!? It's 2009, so adapt to now!

also, raising animals for food, sounds like a good way to supply the population but how is it natural!? Hmm!.!.!. I'm also glad you experienced veganism good!. I've never eaten meat, So i have none of that switching lol, and i'm healthy and fine without struggle!? If you are in the right mindset and dedicated , then you will be vegan, No problem!

I personally do not like how use animals today, especially how we raise dairy cows, impregnate them so that they have a baby, so that they can produce milk!.!. Then take the baby away!. The only reason they impregnate them is to get the milk!.!. which is just selfish,!. And supporting the dairy industry supports veal!. Btw - i am not saying all farmers don't look after their animals, that would be wrong!.

Oh and by the way, then, there are people who say!.!. "You can still eat meat if you don't torture the animal, then it's not wrong!."

For example, if they numb the animal or give it a quick painless death -

It's Great, reduce the suffering, nice soloution , but i go for all or nothing, i decided to reduce the suffering as much as i CAN and not kill them at all!.!.

Good luck with making your decisions :-)
P!.S there are loads of other reasons, to be vegan ;]

me,Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well if you tried it for a week, felt great, but still went back to eating meat!.!.!.!.maybe you need to reevaluate your reasons for wanting to go vegan!. I decided to try veganism out for 2 weeks when I was an omnivore and I felt so excellent I never went back!.

My reasons for staying were primarily for my health!. I just felt healthier than ever while eating a plant based diet!!! Most people who talk down about veganism (most of the answers so far) have never tried it and are nutritionally illiterate!. They have been brainwashed to believe that meat and dairy are healthy!. They think cow milk is the only way for a person to get calcium, LOL!.

Whatever your reason is, I suggest you learn a lot about it!. That way you'll have motivation to do it long term!. After I did a lot of reading and educated myself on the health benefits of a plant based diet, I never wanted to touch that other crap again! You could also try that book Skinny B*tch!. It's kinda crazy, but it's easy to read and provides a lot of info on the meat and dairy industries that will probably make you never want to eat it again!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You didn't try very hard if you went back to meat after a week!. You say you didn't want to go back to being vegan then say you want convincing coz you want to do it right!. I don't get it!.

Quote;
"okay i know all the basics!.!.!. i should become a vegan cause its good for the animals, and its good for you and its good for the environment!.!.!. and i believe in that and everything!.!." Unquote!.

Well clearly you don't believe in it or you wouldn't be eating meat and asking others to convince you!. If you have to ask, you're not ready!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

VeganWww@FoodAQ@Com

if youre going to do it then YOU are the one who needs to decide and do it, not someone else for you!. It actually is not necessarily the best or healthiest choice for you and the environment, though it is one!. Eating locally grown diverse amounts of organic (or not sprayed with pesticides/non genetically modified) veggies fruits whole grains and grass fed antibiotic hormone free meat, raw milk and cheese is every bit as worth considering if you simply want to improve your health as well as the health of the Earth!. There are aslo a lot of ways of doing this that are very affordable such as CSA'a, farmers markets, and having a garden! A lot of vegans are outright self righteous and become nutrient deprived after several years!. Is this why they get so fanatical about it!? perhaps lol
There are many schools of thought on this and its really okay to honor whatever works for youWww@FoodAQ@Com

You said it was good and you felt great, but went back to eating meat without a second thought!. Perhaps it's because you went into veganism saying that it'll be an experiment for a week!. Instead, go in with the mindset of: "I'm becoming vegan because I think it's good for animals, me, and the environment!." Then see what happens!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you don't want to become a vegan, you shouldn't!. It's probably more expensive, harder to go out to dinner with other people, and just a big inconvenience!. It's not worth it to do it unless your heart is really in it!.

On the other hand, if at any point you decide you really want to be a vegan, go for it!. Even though it's hard, if it means enough to you, you'll find a way to make it work!. But all of the inspiration and motivation has to come from within you, not from other people!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

What you choose to put in your body is an entirely personal issue and it isn't up to others to "convince" you of anything!.

Most people go vegetarian first- they don't just jump into veganism!. Try cutting out red meat one week, then the next week cut out poultry as well, then seafood, then eggs and then dairy!.

http://www!.vegan!.org/about_veganism/inde!.!.!.
http://www!.vegan!.com/articles/faq/Www@FoodAQ@Com

Unless you have a medical condition or some personal conviction about the whole issue, no diet based lifestyle is a "should", If you want to that's fine, if you don't want to, that's perfectly fine too!.

You and your questions will attract the fanatics like bears to honey, And they will be just as destructive too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No I cannot convince you if you have any backbone at all!. You need to make life decisions based on logic and what you want rather than what some anonomous computer geek tells you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds like you know what to doWww@FoodAQ@Com

You probably didn't want to go back to veganism because finding vegan food at a restaurant can be a hassle, and you're so used to cooking non-vegan meals it's easy for you to fall back on eating meat!.

Besides not hurting animals and making better choices for the environment, one thing you did not mention is that eating a well-balanced vegan diet is just plain HEALTHY! It's generally low-cholesterol!. Depending on how you prepare the food, it's also generally a low-fat and low-calorie way of eating, too!. Meat is full of excess hormones and antibiotics, and if you eat a plant-based diet, you don't consume that crap!

Going from omnivore to vegan may be tough, so there's nothing wrong with going vegetarian first to learn how to eat healthfully without the meat, then slowly phase out the dairy and eggs!. Get plenty of cookbooks that have ways to prepare your favorite foods sans meat!. It'll make the transition easier!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you shouldn't-

Not if being healthy and mentally stable means anything to you!.
Humans evolved over millions of years to digest meat, not vegetables!. Most vegans aren’t educated enough in biology or physiology to make proper health decisions!.

The structure & orientation of our eyes, the shape of our teeth and the enzymes in our stomach proves we are predators, meat eaters!. Our teeth aren’t built to efficiently break the cells of vegetables to extract the nutrients inside the cell itself!. Our teeth are meant to tear and cut- into meat!. It’s a fact!. You simply cannot get the proper nutrients from being a vegan with out heavy supplementation!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Basically because it is good, that is all I got!.
I think you should keep going on not eating meat!.
Not really the most convincing of arguments, but oh well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you shouldntWww@FoodAQ@Com
