Should animals be vegetarian to.?!

Question: Should animals be vegetarian to!.!?
Answers:
no, because it wouldnt really be right if you are vegan and just give ur dog plants and stuff just because thats what u eat!.
Im not vegetarian, but that would be kinda cruelWww@FoodAQ@Com

Short answer, no!. But, I will explain myself out as to why!.

First, I'm presuming you're implying household pets when it comes to your question posted!.

Dogs, by nature, are scavengers!. They will eat anything and everything they need to keep alive!. They don't need meat to stay alive, and can by that reasoning eat whatever!. Our dogs do eat a vegetarian diet, have for almost a year now, and they're still perfectly healthy!.

Most cats however, are straight carnivores!. There are some vegan cat foods out there, but many cats would not be able to successfully eat this diet!.

So really, animals are not vegetarian, any more than a human who chooses not to be is!. In fact, no non-human animal can be a vegetarian, since following a vegetarian diet is a personal choice, which no creature but humans has the mental capacity to make the choice to not consume animals or animal by-products!. If a dog can survive without meat, and I make the choice to feed my dogs a vegetarian diet, so be it!. If I had noticed after moving my dogs to this diet that it wasn't working for them, then I would have put them back onto a meat-based diet!.

My dogs are fed an herbivorous diet because their owners have made the moral choice not to have meat in their diet and be vegetarians, the dogs cannot and - no matter what they are fed by us - will not be vegetarians because they cannot make the moral choice to be one!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depends on whether or not you are a Christian who believes everything written in the Bible literally!. At the beginning of Genesis and at the end of Revelation, ALL animals (including humans) are vegetarian/herbivorous!.

Yeah, I know it's just ancient Semitic mythology, but some people today still believe in it!. [shrugs] It would be nice if that much of the Bible were true, despite the rest of it being fairytales intermingled with history and legend!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Only if they would naturally be so, or well, it might be OKAY for omnivores like dogs!. But not for carnivores like cats!. Putting a cat on a vegetarian diet is unhealthy and wrong, because their diet is meant to be MEAT!. As it is, they eat far more grains than they would naturally anyway, putting them on an entirely veggie diet would just make them sick!.

I think dogs would be okay because they are naturally omnivores (like humans)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If they are naturally herbivorous (like we are meant to be)!. If they are omnivorous/carnivorous then obviously not!. They will hunt wild animals when they need to!. That is very different to what most humans do!.

Unfortunately a lot of naturally vegetarian farm animals such as cows are given animal-derived food!. It's what started BSE!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i would love to turn my pets vegetarian but in the wild a lion and other animals needs meat to survive!.!.!.!.humans dont!we can get all our protein from nuts and beans but we cannot feed our cats a bowl of nuts! and also i know of no cat food that is vegan!.!.!.!.they need meat unfortunately and it kills me each time i feed them a tin of food!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

im a vegan for 2 yearsWww@FoodAQ@Com

No, unless it's what their natural diet would be!. It's up to us to keep them healthy not try and condition them to eat like we do!.
Cats particularly should not be deprived of a diet containing meat!. If it clashes with your life choices, a different animal, like a bird or rodent, who can live easily on grains and veg, might be a better option!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, but all people should become vegan!. Animals aren't doing anything wrong by hunting and eating prey, but we as humans can get all of our vitamins and nutrients from plant-based sources!. And if NOBODY ate any other animals, wouldn't the world become overpopulated!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you meant dogs, then you can feed them a vegetarian diet if want to !.
nature's recipe vegetarian formula is available at petsmart!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That would be unnatural and throw the food chain off balance!. Plus, humans can make moral choices whereas most other animals can't!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no!.!.!.cats and dogs know what is good for them to eat!.!.!.

man eats all kinds of strange stuff that a dog will not touch or has to clean his butt to get rid of the taste!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your an animal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's their choice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
