Is it safe to eat a whole chili pepper?!

Question: Is it safe to eat a whole chili pepper!?
When I say whole I mean stem and seeds not eating it in one bite!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I am a former chef and a "Chilihead", and have worked in many country's in my 20+ years as a chef, and you can eat the whole thing, but the stem is a bit bitter, but I have some of the hottest peppers both whole an fresh dried and in sauces, and no matter which way you consume them it is all pain full in the end, believe me, do not plan anything strenuous the next day after a few!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

As other said, there's no reason why you couldn't eat the seeds/stems (although I don't know why you'd want to eat the stem)!.

If it's heat you're asking about, that depends entirely on the type of pepper and your own capacity for taking the heat!. A milder pepper, such as a jalapeno or anaheim, shouldn't be a problem!. A scotch bonnet or habanero, on the other hand, might cause problems for some people!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That's the only way to eat them!. I usually throw away the stem though!. If you eat to much, you will know it, they will burn on the way out too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm sure the stem is digestible, but not very appetizing!. Of course we eat seeds every day in our salsas!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

sure, why not!? be careful though!! too much hot pepper can upset your stomach, and sometimes give you ulcers!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

stem is fibre may get stuck in throat!. rest of it is okay based on your tolerance!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no it is too hotWww@FoodAQ@Com
