Please help, im thinking about becoming vegan.?!
so, im a 14 year old girl, slightly underweight, and a vegitarian i lost weight since i became a veggie about 6/7 months ago!.
i have very strong veiws about animal cruelty, and i really want to become a vegan, it will be tough i know but it was hard at first becoming a veggie but i got through that and now im glad i did it!.
can anyone please give me advice and all i need to know about becoming a vegan, what i can eat, etc!.!.

i turned vegetarian at 14 and on my 15th birthday i turned vegan, ive been vegan for about 2 months now!. for a milk substitue have rice dream, it has all the vitamins and stuff you need so you wont have to worry about taking vitamins!. you'll prob have a headache the first couple of days after you turn vegan, you're not dying, your body is just detoxifying!. my school doesn't have many options for me so i usually eat salad with italian dressing or sun chips!. what got me through my moments of weakness is oreos (yes, they're vegan) and peanut butter!. people will ask you questions but they will also respect you more because what you're doing isn't easy!. when eating out you prob won't be sure on some items if they're completely vegan!. what i do is check to see what i can eat before going by looking on here- veganeatingout!.comWww@FoodAQ@Com

If I were you, I'd get a hold of a vegan nutrition book!. It can really help you think about what sorts of things you need to include in your diet!. Other than that, you just have to be aware of all the ingredients that are made from animal products!. Be careful when grocery shopping, especially with veggie cheese!. They often have casein in them which is an animal product!.
There are lots of alternatives to dairy and meat so it's not nearly as hard as it seems!.
For protein you have a ton of options!. If you like soy products that you are pretty much set!. also eat beans, nuts, and lots of leafy green veggies!.
also, when eating out, be sure that the person serving you knows what is vegan and what is not!. I've had people assume some pretty bizarre things about veganism!.
