Someone once gave this Turnip recipe:

Dice turnip(s) into 1 inch dices!.
Dice 1 medium golden onion also into small dices!.
Meanwhile heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a saucepan!.
Add diced turnip(s) and onion dices and cook until glossy
Add 1/2 cup water or enough water to almost cover veggies!.
Cover and simmer 5 minutes!. Add 2 tablespoons soy bacon bits!. Cook all until vegetables are soft!.
Excellent served with fried potatoes, turnip greens and fried, diced hard tofu with vegan pork seasoning!.

--------------------------------------!.!.!.

To cook Collard greens:

wash them first

cut out big hard stems ( you do not eat these unless you want to really dice them fine!.!.I usually put them in the compost)

chop up leaves to bite size pieces

Put Olive oil in pot

saute' 1 Onion and 2 or 3 cloves Crushed Garlic until translucent

add to that 1 1/2 - 2 cups water

add 1 tsp marmite or 1 veggie bouillon cube

add collard greens

Add S&P

and optional add Tabasco a few drop

cover pot and cook until very tender minimum 1 hour and you can cook for actually a few hours !.!.!.

Serve with Corn Bread
