Answers:
Becoming vegetarian isn't easy!. It's not a diet fit for everyone!. For example some people's metabolic type needs/craves protein!. They are not a carb type!. The protein types crave red meat and heavier foods!. That is because their body needs it!. If you have this body type, don't worry!. There are many vegetarian items that taste JUST LIKE IT!. For example some veggieburgers (my favorite is Garden Burger) make delicious veggie burgers! Morning Star Farms makes vegetarian sausage patties (that can be found at your regular grocery store) that taste EXACTLY like sausage! It is truly amazing! So look around!. There's stuff that you crave for that fits the vegetarian diet!

As for the milk and cheese!.!.!.!.take calcium tablets! also drink/eat SOY milk and cheese! I preffer it to milk!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Believe it or not our body's aren't designed to digest meat properly!. Compared to carnivores our stomachs don't have enough acid to break down meat properly and our teeth are flat like a herbivore!. Their are plenty of other protein alternitives other than meat but the fact is most people get WAY more protein than needed(resulting in weight gain)

I have many reasons for being vegetarian and one of them was to lose weight!. As soon as I cut meat out of my diet i stopped craving sweets and fast food!. Give it time it may take you a bit longer but your body will adjust!. Its possible you may litterly be addicted to meat!. Give it a month or so and i'm sure the cravings will stop!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Oh please, your much more healthier when you DON'T eat meat!. Eating meat leads to heart disease, strokes, and clogged arteries!.
All sorts of things!. You can get all of your daily intake of all the vitamins and minerals just by eating plant foods!. You can eat almonds and peanuts for iron, oranges and apples for vitamin C, and all your soy products are full of calcium! If you could eat everything you wanted, why not eat a big greasy, arteries clogging burger, everyday!? You have such a healthy lifestyle when you go vegetarian/vegan!. To get even healthier go vegan!.

As for craving, Think of it this way, do you really need meat!? Do you think you could live without that burger, or chicken breasts!? I find that the substitute beef and chicken tastes so much better!. Your taste buds with be in a whole new world!. You can make your favourite meal vegetarian!. There's substitute for everything, even ice cream! Yogurt, Mayo, Chocolate, meat, candy, everything! You just have to look in the right stores and you will find everything you need!.

So think to yourself, you could eat that burger, or eat one that tastes just like it, but healthier!.

(Don't get into the whole what they do to animals, people have really strong opinions on this stuff!. If you really need to talk about this, start a new question on it, this one will flood up!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

when i first went vegan!.!. i craved animal products for almost two weeks, and when ever i did, i just thought of how sick it was that i was actually dependent on these foods that were so bad for me, the planet and the animals, and i decided that i didnt want that any more and i was going to do what ever it took to get over the addiction to these foods!.!.!. and strangely enough, i found out that milk actually does have a naturally addictive quality to it!. i forgot what its called, but theres this thing in milk that makes babies addicted to it, so they will keep wanting more!.

you could also just think of the suffering that took place for that product to get to your plate!.

and overall, i suggest filling up as much as you can on fresh fruits and vegetables, that way you wont feel hungry and you wont crave animal products (because youll be full already) and it wont hurt a bit to eat as many fresh fruits and vegetables as you can!.

(oh, and i read somewhere that it takes two weeks for your taste buds to change, so i guess just hold off until then and you wont crave things so much!.!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sometimes, you need something heavy!. I find if I eat eggplant parm, then I do not crave meat!. Same thing for mushroom dishes!.

BTW, to the hysterical person saying that vegetarianism will hurt your body!.!.!. try looking something up before spouting such nonsense! It is the complete opposite - especially the way we raise animals in this country for food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i dont think you should stop the cravings for meat, because your body needs the meat!. there are many healthy ways you can cook meat, i love grilling chicken breast, its yummy and its high on protein!. what i think you should do is limit the amount of meat you eat, and eat more veggies :] for milk you can replace that w/ soymilk, thats if youd like it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

this happened to me to!. i wanted to go vegetarian but i liked meat!. then one morning i woke up and decided to give it up!. now i don't eat meat and am vegetarian!. just cut it out and believe me it works! forget the cravings and eat some celery!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think over time is passes!. I really never had a problem craving meat after becoming vegetarian!. It really isn't part of the list of food I find appetizing anymore!.

Just like corn!. hahaWww@FoodAQ@Com

i have this same problem wish there was an easy solution for itWww@FoodAQ@Com

YOUR NOT MEANT TO BE A VEGITARIAn!!!!! please to many people are ruining their mattabilism and hurtingn their body!. just eat what you want and stay healthy!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
