Is the Bible pro-vegetarianism?!

Question: Is the Bible pro-vegetarianism!?
Is the Bible in any way anti-meat-eating!? I know it's all right to sacrifice an animal, but is it against a human eating an animal, or does it mention it being ok for us to eat animals!? If so, where does it say it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It's not against vegetarianism, but it does say that we reign supreme over animals, so it's implied that it's fine for us to eat them if we want!.

moove over - Maybe you should try actually answering the question!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Reminder: This is from the Bible!. So this is my non-biased answer to your question!.

God gives to man authority over all that was created on earth!. Man is to take care of and use the earth!. Man is to have the authority over all that was created!. This means that man is to assume the control and protection of all that God had created!.

Man is to protect every animal no matter the cost both to mankind and to the animals!.Animal cruelty should not take place if men truly understand the command to be “caretakers” of the earth!. We are to control the numbers of animals so disease and sickness do not kill them off; we are to use the animals for our needs; we are to control animals in a manner in which they are not harmful to humans; and finally we should protect them from over-killing and abuse!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The bible doesn't make a stand one way or another!. Examples of both are within scripture!. In the NT, scripture speaks to no animal being 'clean' or 'unclean' and also that none should judge another because of such (1 Cor!. 10:23-33; Acts 11:5-10)

I can tell you that scripture is against torture and mistreatment of animals and the punishment to those that do such (found in the OT), so many places I am not going to site them all!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Locke is correct but to be more specific it is found at Genesis 9:3!. It is after Noah and his family came out of the ark!. They are given permission to eat animals with the exception of the blood which represented the life of the animal!. That was to be poured out as a sign that the life belonged to the creator!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If God did not want people to eat meat he would not have made so many rules about how which animals were clean and unclean and how to slaughter and cook them!. It's been a while but I think most of the rules are in Exodus and Leviticus!. And God also talks to St!. Peter in a dream saying that he can forget about all the rules and kill and eat any animals he wants!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There's a passage that compares people who eat meat and those who eat only vegetables!. Basically it says either is fine, but warns agains either criticising the other for what they do!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes!. in the beginning adam and eve were raw vegans!. it wasnt until they sinned that they ate meat!.
