Aspiring teen vegan...?!


Question: Aspiring teen vegan!.!.!.!?
i am already vegetarian and my mom doent have a problem with it!. now i want to be vegan but last time i mentioned it mom said it was to expensive!. what are some things i can have her get that we already buy that are vegan to prove her wrong!? i have already looked at the lists on peta!. anything they missed!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm a "teen vegan" and I have been for almost 3 years!. It's great that you're heading in that direction yourself! :)

Over the years I have found out some really essential things:
-eat nuts, especially almonds!. I cannot stress enough how important this is!. Even if you're on a diet or something never stop eating nuts and SEEDS!.
- Tofu and soy milk
- Beans and pulses are healthier protein sources than processed mock meats!.
- Eat fortified cereals with vitamin B12 in them!.
- Take a good multivitamin!.
- Load up on things like hummus which have tahini (ground sesame seeds) in it!. It's an important source of calcium!.

there are alot of sites out there if you just go to these as well as enter vegan in you will find a lot of info as well as i suggest you go to your library if you dont want to buy them but get vegan books they normally start stocking them especially since the interest in veganism is going up i love these sites and they have provided so mu info to me as well

Stopping the suffering of animals is worth more than money, and to get everything you need it can be quite expensive!.

Not like the fools who think they cannot get what they need, you need to get used to food that does not taste very nice at first, but you get used to it!. Such as Soya Milk!.

ahh!.!.!.i was vegan!. then i got extremely sick and my bones were brittle and my joints were breaking down!. (yes, i was eating the appropriate amount of things!.) a lot of things are vegan that you don't think are!.!.!.but yeah the list from peta is good!. what ever you do, make sure you stay healthy!.
