Do you know any interesting or unusual facts regarding vegetarian/veganism?!

There's one argument for veganism I thought I'd never hear.
What obscure and/or irrelevant facts do you know about veg*nism? Please source!
Answers:
I nearly died choking on a splintered piece of chicken bone when I was 5 years old. My mother stuck her fingers down my throat to dislodge it in the middle of a Chinese restaurant. Bones in general are pretty dangerous, especially for kids. And probably drunk people.
A recent study showed that vegetarians and vegans both differ in activity in the areas of the brain associated with empathy and compassion to meat heads when viewing pictures of both human and non-human animal suffering; but there were also differences between the vegans and vegetarians in depictions of animal suffering. http://www.plosone.org/article/info%3Ado…
I got a different source for choking hazards: The first on the list are peanuts and other nuts, raw carrots and celery, popcorn kernels, sunflower seeds, fruits with pits, dried peas and beans. Fish or ore accurately fish bones actually rank last in the list.
So apparently, omnivores or more accurately, only fish eating omnivores are the ones most
likely to choke on fish bones. If you don't eat fish you don't choke on the bones. However, since almost 100% of vegans eat nuts and chopped vegetables and whole fruits such as grapes. then practically 100% of ALL vegans are at risk of choking on the foods they eat.
Maybe the reason why it has never been used as an argument for veganism is because it is ridiculous.
Well any fish I have ever ate was soft and flaky. And I'm not sure why anyone would swallow bones? I never have. Meat itself needs to be chewed just like vegetarian foods. Yet another reason not to believe everything you read.
vegetarian's are longevity than non-vegetarian.
vegetarian's can control their fitness easily.
My dad used to have us eat soft bread when we swallowed a fish bone and it got stuck. Seemed like it worked every time.
