Do Marshmallows go bad?!

Question: Do Marshmallows go bad?
I was roasting marshmallows in my fireplace this evening and when i ate it, it tasted like sour, which was unusual. Also, when i took the marshmallow out of the bag, it made my fingers white and powdery. It's a bag of marshmallows we've had since maybe around the middle of December, so not that old. The bag has been opened, but there was a twist-tie keeping the marshmallows from getting stale.

No food lasts forever, it all has a use by date whether on the packet or not.

Most marshmallows will never expire just get hard and stale. Some have eggs and other perishables as their ingredients. Make sure it doesn't have mold or anything but other than that, it should be safe especially only a month or 2.

Bad is in Rotten?

No they don't go bad.

They will dry out and go stale though, even with a twist tie a month can dry them out.
