Is lightlife a vegetarian company?!

Question: Is lightlife a vegetarian company?
Sorry, probably a stupid question. I'm a new vegetarian so I don't know everything to look for. I looked up the symbol that should be on vegetarian foods and I didn't see it on the packaging for Lightlife smart wings. It says "veggie" but nowhere does it say "meat free".

Answers:

I don't know what country you're in. In the US we don't have a law that says vegetarian food has to be identified. The best thing to do is either read the label carefully or call the company.

In the UK there is a law that vegetarian food has to be identified. If you live there and you don't see the V symbol, it's not vegetarian.

Lightlife
Also sold at Giant Eagle and Kroger, in addition to Claudia's Natural Food Market, Lightlife launched in 1985. Their website sports the phrase “We're pro-veggie, pro-planet, pro-people.” What the website doesn't say is that Lightlife was purchased by the conglomerate ConAgra (Monfort) ten years ago. The website also doesn't mention that according to the USDA, ConAgra along with IBP, and Cargill (Excell) “dominate in numbers of steers and heifers slaughtered” in addition to the number of slaughtered pigs.

Moral obligation=Dont usee this company.
