Can put psyllium (Metamucil) in yogurt smoothies and it will still be effective?!

Question: Can put psyllium (Metamucil) in yogurt smoothies and it will still be effective?
I drink yogurt smoothies (home-made) very frequently, and I was wondering if putting psyllium husk powder (what's in Metamucil) in a smoothie will limit the powder's effectiveness.

For my smoothies, I use frozen strawberries, yogurt, water, and a tablespoon of honey. For a serving-size, I drink a half-quart.

I'm really trying to kick my current cleanse routine up a notch. Any ideas about the psyllium?

I think the worst that could happen is that the Psyllium would make the smoothie too thick. It won't limit the effectiveness of it.

Try it out! Just make sure to have a glass of water nearby, so you don't choke.
