If you are a vegetarian, please answer?!
I am vegetarian and I am the shortest teenager I have seen.
It makes sense to me because meat has growth hormones injected in it so it's hardly a coincidence

Im 5′7 and my boyfriend is 6′5 and we are both vegetarians. I also have other vegetarian friends and most of them are tall, around 6′ or so. Don′t worry too much, it′s possibly genetic disposition or you are still going to grow some more.
A large study in the United Kingdom investigated whether people who are lifelong vegetarians are more likely to be shorter or lighter in weight than people who become vegetarians as adults. More than 350 lifelong vegetarians, 11,000 people who became vegetarian at age 20 years or older, and 29,000 non-vegetarians were surveyed. There were only two lifelong vegans and they were included with the vegetarian group. Average height, weight, and Body Mass Index (BMI) were not significantly different between lifelong vegetarians and those who became vegetarian as adults. Results were similar for men and women. There was also no significant difference in age at menarche menarche among the groups. Non-vegetarians were heavier than vegetarians and had higher BMIs. This study suggests that the growth of lifelong vegetarians is similar to the growth of those who were not vegetarians as children and that maturation as indicated by age at menarche, is not affected by a vegetarian diet. It also supports the findings of other studies that show that, on average, vegetarians are slimmer than non-vegetarians.

I'm 13 almost 14 and I'm 5'4 witch is normal for my age. Your height is probably herreditary. The growth hormones injected in animals do not promote growth in humans. They just make the animals grow abnormally quick causing extreem pain for them. How old are you? Guys (judging by your avitar your a guy I'm thinking) usualley are very short tell a certain point where they began growing very tall practically over night. Eat beans, eggs, seeds, nuts, tofu and soy for protein.
13 year old vegetarian
I'm a male vegan and I'm 5'8. I only went vegan about 4 years ago when I was 18 so I had already done most of my growing by then. I also ate meat but nowhere near as much as the people around me seemed to think they needed.
Some people are just naturally short regardless of diet but your diet can stunt your growth if it's very bad. I wouldn't worry too much.
No, don't worry it is not because you are a vegetarian. It could be generic..but you are still a teenager you have tons of years in front of you to grow more! :)
Just make sure you eat protein substitutes and take multivitamins and you will be nutritionally fine :)
I ate meat throughout my "growing" years. I'm 5'1".
It's nothing to do with diet, really, unless you're a malnourished child in an impoverished country. It's all about genetics. My grandparents, my uncles, and my mom are all short people.
Vegan
I'm 5'6 which is over average for a girl I believe.

Growth hormones aren't for the person eating the meat, they're for the animal being eaten. And they're not healthy so it's good you're not eating them. I've been a vegetarian since 4th grade, and I'm taller than most of my friends!
nooo, ive been a vegetarian about 8 years and I'm really really tall. I'm the tallest in most of my classes and people always think I'm a lot older than I am :') my friends been a strict veggie all her life and she's a fairly average/tall size
I'm an 18 year old female and 5'0". I've been the same height since before I was a vegetarian. Bill Kaulitz is 6'2" and has been a vegetarian for 2 years. What does that say? What you eat doesn't determine your height, your heredity does.
i've been a vegetarian since i was 4; i'm 21 now.
i'm taller than some people, and i'm shorter than some people.
being a vegetarian does not stunt your growth.
You can limit your growth because you may not be consuming enough nutrients and minerals required for growth such as the most common one protein.
It wont affect your growth THAT much but it can have a slight effect.
Its mainly down to genetics

I'm toller than most girls in my class, and I'm not uber skinny. As long as you get enough protein, vitamins etc, being a vegetarian shouldn't affect your height at all. Maybe it's just genetics?
As a teenager, you're probably not done growing yet. Hang in there. It's not b/c of being a vegetarian.
I'm over 6'2" (BTW, I'm female).
Vegetarian since birth
nope I'm taller than most everyone I know. ( I'm a girl and I'm 5'10)
Just make sure that you're eating enough protein and calcium and you should be all right.
no. I think genetics has more to do with it than eating/not eating meat with trace amounts of growth hormone.
Nope. I'm just over 6 foot at 18 years.
Vegan.
No, I am not shorter than those who eat meat.
Im a vegan and im 6'1.
i'm about 5' 2'' but hight is very dependent on genetics. both my parents are about 5' 4''
I'm 5'9 and i'm still growing, it's just you :)
no im not
