What type of vegetarian do you want to be? Some eat eggs... some eat fish... some include dairy products... You have to make these decisions first.
As for this diet making you skinnier... as with every diet, it depends what you fill up on... If you think "oh I am not eating red meat so I can eat all the cookies I want" you will certainly gain weight but if you load up in moderation of beans, whole eggs, and lots of vegetables then you should be fine, just as long as you're active as well!
No Not really. it depends. You could still be a vegetarian but eat candy and other nonhealthy foods all day. And just because you eat meat doesnt mean your not healthy. Vegetarians usually dont go vegetarian to be healthy, they do it because eating animals sickens them or its their religion.
I guess if you want to be healthy or w.e just workout and eat veggies n fruits. N just eating healthy
stuff doesnt make you skinny, you have to workout also
Yes, you could lose weight, but only if you are also not consuming a lot of processed foods, white flour, fat, and sugar. If your diet consists of at least about 80% veggies (raw or cooked) and fruits, you will most likely lose weight. If you saute your veggies use coconut oil instead of vegetable oil.
If you do decide to maintain a vegetarian diet, it is important to eat lots of beans for protein. There are a wide variety of beans & recipes that you can experiment with (I love lentils!). You should also buy a protein powder from Whole Foods or Central Market, and plan to drink a protein smoothie at least 2 times per week.
I know a girl who is vegetarian and she's fat. She doesn't eat meat, all she eats is cheese, potato tacos, and donuts and cookies and junk food with no meat products in them. I don't know why she's a vegetarian she won't eat veggies or fruits hardly. You can lose weight and still eat meat, too. It just depends on what you eat. Whatever you do, if you go vegetarian, make sure you eat vegetables and fruits. Eggs and cheese have protein but they are also high in fat and calories. Also, we humans have the teeth of onmivores, which means we were made to eat both meat and veg.
Hi! There are many different foods that substitute meat nowadays! :) for example tofu, soy, beans, lentils, nuts, almonds. there are so many different salads you can eat, many meat substitutes that you can buy at the supermarket such us fake chicken, fake turkey, fake meat, fake ground meat, fake chicken finger, fake chicken salad sandwiches, tofu hot dogs, vegetarian pizzas. there so much out there for us to eat and replace the meat that you will actually not miss eating meat.
I actually lost weight when i became vegetarian and never put it back on. You just have to watch your carbs because a lot of vegetarians load up on bread and pastries.. so just make sure you always have walnuts, almonds, protein bars, or fruit for snacks so you are not temped to eat carbs.
get some multivitamins at the begging so you make sure you obtain the vitamins and nutrients your body needs.
it is not that difficult to go vegetarian if you really want it. As for the food, as i said before, there are a lot of choices out there!
Try it for a couple of weeks and see how it feels! :)
Good question!
Tofu, fake meat, beans, nuts, dairy.. And if you hate all of that, then pills or vitamins. And it might make you skinny if you don't do it right (meaning you don't eat right and you don't get enough protein or other things you need), but you shouldn't see any noticeable weight changes.
Vegetarian since 4th grade
You may lose weight, but it depends on what you eat. Cheese pizza may be vegetarian, but it certainly isn't healthy! To get protein you should eat plenty of nuts and beans, as well as protein-rich veggies such as artichokes and asparagus. Also, try cooking with tofu and seitan, which can take the place of meat.

It is rubbish to say you need meat in your diet. As for proteins, your instinct will guide you, but you can help it by going for cheese and dairy products, beans, peas and pulses, tofu and soya products etc. No you don't get skinny - just like any foods, you have to not pig out and do some exercise sometimes.
Decades of veg diet, knowing hundreds of veg people etc.
We need meat in our diets. You are far more healthier eating meat than not eating it. We are animals at the end of the day. Do you think a lion cares when its ripping the throat out of a baby deer?. We are animals, The top of the tree. Survival of the fittest. Now stop being stupid and eat your damn beef.
wow i totally respect you for your decision of becoming someone who eeats meat non - stop
well congreats and remember to eat more chickne
I <3 Meat
