nope. there are not any carbs in lettuce. Lettuce is 90% water...

Lettuce gets 78% of its calories from carbohydrates, 16% from protein, and 8% from fat. It's relatively high in carbohydrates, but because it is low in calories (maybe 100 calories per pound?), it won't contribute a lot of carbohydrates to your daily total.

There is 1 gram of carbohydrate in one cup of lettuce. This probably means iceburg lettuce. Darker greens like kale or spinach probably have more...

Spinach has about 7 grams of carbohydrate in one cup of boiled spinach. Boiled = Gross!
Kale also has about 7 grams per cup.

For reference, the standard slice of white bread has 15 grams of carbohydrate.

I have taken several nutrition classes and I am a foodie

Yes there are, but there's so very little it's hardly worth counting. Iceberg lettuce especially is mostly water with little nutritional value. It's good for a filler, but not a good place to get your vitamins and minerals.

No, there are not many carbohydrates in lettuce.

there are none. In fact, most lettuce provides little nutritional value

Obviously not or people wouldn't use it as a replacement for bread on the adkins diet.
